MUCH...?
:)

I don't hate America. I think there's a lot of media stuff
goin' on there. Then again I could be wrong, maybe all
Americans hate Canada and the other way around.

Coz the US have loads of stars on their flag, whereas the
Canadians have only got one ganja leaf. Which is red for
some strange reason.

I dont know any Canadians who hate america, and I dont know
any americans who hate Canada. I do know some americans
though who think the english language is actually called
"American". As in, "I speak american"

I was given quite a verbal assault from my ex-girlfriend
(who's Canadian) for saying that the flag looks like a ganja
leaf but red. Guess that must hit a raw nerve or something.
Mind you I really like that Kraft Diner stuff they have over
there.... mmm, pasta.

I don't hate Canadians...I just think it's hilarious to
follow sentences with "eh".

To answer Fernz original question: I don't think that there
is a hatred. Canadains think that Americans are ignorant
savages, who eat to much and have no cultural identity.
Americans on the other hand think that Canadians are stupid
for choosing to live in igloos.

offline Taoist Blockade from Wales on 2002-02-20 16:12 [#00094821]
Points: 1169 Status: Lurker

yeah whats up with the igloo thing 010101? I talked ot a guy
in bellingham at a card tournament and he actually thought
there was snow on the ground all the time in Canada.... A
ONE HOUR DRIVE FROM WHERE WE WERE.

My impression of Canada, before I lived here was that winter
was constant blizzards and I wish someone had explained to
me that Vancouver is in rainforest!
Peoples impression of England really amuses me as they think
that it is eather like Corination Street, Sherlock Holmes or
Heartbeat.

Because Canada consistently ranks among the best, if not THE
best overall country, and yet they continue to believe
THEY'RE the best. Meanwhile, we don't live in igloos and
fish for our supper, we simply enjoy a better quality of
life, with health insurance and no guns, lower crime,
etc,etc.

http://www.negativepositive.org/fuck-canada.html

"Poutine - This is a concoction (for lack of a better term)
of French Fries, Thick Greasy Gravy, and Cheese. It
resembles a mixture of morning sickness and something an 8th
grader in a cafeteria would be paid by his peers to eat. If
you ordered a value meal at McDonalds and supersized it and
filled the bag up to the rim with lard you could not touch
the fat content of poutine. The popularity of this 'food' is
why Canada approved socialized health care."

damn

How the hell do I pronounce "roof"? I think I rhyme it with
"ooh" (+ an 'f' of course). However I say it, it's right
and it's the way the entire world should say it!

I think taoist was refering to the fact that some americans
pronounce roof as "ruff". But both Canada and the US are
very, very large countries and each have some odd accents.
