Boards Of Canada - Alpha Chime
Boards Of Canada - April
Boards Of Canada - Gridlock
Boards Of Canada - Litter Duty
Boards Of Canada - Winder

I downloaded these from soulseek. Are these songs fake ones
or real ?

I have "Circle" from Hooper Bay and
"trillions" from Closes Vol.1

I once downloaded Circle and Trillions, and these tracks
were made by Fat Kaimo...

Fakes.

I don't think Maxima is being considered for release
anymore, since so many of the tracks ended up on MHTRTC.
Maxima is a demo really, so I doubt they would release it (I
personally hope they do, as there are great songs like
Whitewater that should be released).

The big question now is if the new BOC will release will be
BOC at all - might be Hell Interface ;)

excuse me?!

hey darius, what are you talking about?
i have never ever made any fake songs.
i would never do that.

so please give me some info on here please. where did you
get the info that i had made these songs? or are they
actually my songs that someone just renamed?

hmm, not funny.
thankyou.

not trying to deny that, i thought it was obvious.

haha weird if they're my tracks... a strange compliment...
i'm not a boc fan but still...
i don't know if this is a good or a bad thing... aagh.

these were on soulseek, right?

soulseek fucks stuff up. maybe someone thought these must be

I never said you made fake BoC tracks, but someone on
SoulSeek renamed Tunteja 2 to Circle and
Nja to Trillions. How fun.

hey darius. yes i'm sorry if my post seemed like an
accusation (sp?) towards you, i didn't mean it like that.

i thank you a lot for the information!

this is really weird, i wouldn't have thought my music was
spreading on the net much (according to the small numbers i
get on the counter and the minimal feedback...) or on
soulseek at all... and i wouldn't have expected this kind of
thing...

actually i'm surprised that you knew my tracks, so thank you
for that too... and for calling them great tracks too
haha...

Ha ha, well done Kaimo- I really like "Trillions" aka Nja. I
even have it on my MP3 player at the moment. I don't care if
it's not BoC- it's great music :)

Yes, Whitewater is great.

First thought when I saw story of Xentrix was "will their
next release be a hell interface one?"

heh thanks Ceri...,
i guess those two tracks are now all over the world... only
people don't know what they really are... strange promotion.

i wonder what is the motivation to do things like this... no
one gains anything and i don't know if this sabotages
anything... is the purpose just to annoy?

I don't know- I suppose someone that believes music should
be purely music and not connected to the artist would do it.
Perhaps they do it so people think they have a copy of a
rare track and are happier...

hmmm...
but what do you mean by "not connected to the artist would
do it"... i mean, now it's just connected to the wrong
artists...

Sorry, I mean:

Some people believe that music should just be music- the
artist is irrelevant. If they liked your music, by passing
it off as BoC more people would get to hear it. They would
think that the fact that people think it is BoC is
irrelevant- all that matters is the music.

Not talking from experience of course- track mis-naming is
bloody annoying...

thanks for rephrasing, now i get it.
hmm yes interesting...

we should start sharing all great music renamed to the likes
of britney spears etc...

On reflection, I don't think the new BOC release on WARP
will be Hell Interface - I think they just did this track
for the pool party CD.

Hey, this is the 70th post in this thread :)

I burnt "A Few Old Tunes Vol. 2" (which is all legit songs
to my knowledge) to a CD and listen to it a lot in the car.
I mean, they sound too spot on not to be BoC, and also I
believe I heard it was bola or jega that confirmed they were
infact real. It's about 79 minutes of material, just enough
to fill a CDR, which makes me think it was infact a CDR
handed out to their friends. I urge you to get it on
Soulseek, because there are so many good tracks. Also it has
most of the nicer tracks from A Few Old Tunes Volume 1
(which i'm pretty sure was from a cassette tape.) If it is
infact fake, it's a very advanced one; it uses the same
sample from sixtyniner ("every move we made, was a kiss") on
"sir prancelot brainfire". I'm very convinced this is no
aphex twin napster ghost in the shell remix of tetris, and
is all over soulseek and you probably haven't heard it if
you read most of this so do it!
