That just sounds so amazing. Where there any new visual
material up on the display? And I really hope there will be
a recording of this soon. Sounds just too good to be true.

ok... still doesn't make much sense, unfortunately, but
don't mind me.. I'm more inclined to know stuff about
hip-hop (or rock, but I'm not too into rock, so most of that
info doesn't stick) than electronic stuff because of the
people around me, so all my knowledge of electronic artists
come from here.. the only reason I found "here" is because I
found aphex. I'd like to hear some of this stuff you're
talking about, but I'm going to take it easy for a while,
'cause if I find something I really like again I'm
going to go on another "crusade" to find it and I just
can't afford to be buying stuff right now...

aphex if you read this come to iceland and play at NASA. and
bring those dolls with you!

there was a recent internet poll on a big icelandic web
community:

of the following artists who would you want most to see
coming to visit us?

autechre: 7%
aphex twin: 45%
squarepusher: 25%
boards of canada: 23%

well, im not sure about that as i usually keep my eyes
closed when i dance :) there could have been..people went
absolutely nuts when they played COME TO DADDY vid :)

i hope those gurufs who put the afx rome video on the web
recorded this one as well..this is a one time only thing i
fear..well, the cunningham part that is..he'll probably use
those two dancers again..

Does it seem like he was playing live then? Did you
recognize tracks from any other artists besides him? Maybe
the dancers are part of a new liveshow like the bears.

well, joy division and later new order opened a new route
for many others so they're historically important..perhaps
one of the most influental bands for most of the modern
music..they influenced happy mondays for example and they
started to mix that rockish sound with dance music so they
were very influental for most contemporary dance/club music
as well.

alberto, i just watched those couple of clips i took - the
sound is shit but you'll get the idea..they might make you
want to leave your lovely iceland there :)

yeah, perhaps it's the new bear thing all over again :)

i don't know of any of those other songs im affraid..it was
mostly his own music but all modified with kpta alike sounds
which might not sound as good as it did :) and the way he
mixed xmd5a..OMG!

btw, throbbing gristle are very quickly becoming one of my
favourite bands, eventhough i don't know them that long/well
yet..fantastic stuff..

there's a 2 minute vid im uploading..just to give you an
idea :)

p-orridge is one awesome person from what i've read/seen so
far. thanks for pointing me at them!!

there's a dvd of one of their later shows supposed to come
out..perhaps it already did..
the sound system they had in that place almost made the
crowd bounce of the floor..i've never experienced that
powerful sound..and the darkness of their music..the
wickednest of porridge..pure fantasy :)

yeah, same thing..although he played some noise over them at
sonar which he left out this time..except for the finish
when he played some white noise with some wicked hard
beats..just little something to finish us off..when he
stopped 30 or 40.000 people cheered for more, but it was
happening in a city park so he had to end it..he was in a
fantastic mood and really excited when he saw the crowd
cheering for more..

oh, and it's much better if you watch it on telly..it's way
too dark oncomputer screen for some reason..i coverd the mic
btw, but the sound was so powerful it's all distorted
anyway..it was by far the most powerful soundsytem i've ever
heard..

so, sort of more conventional then..because he said in an
interview he wouldn't wear something on stage that he
wouldn't be comfortable going in a shop with..that white
dress looks a bit flashy though :)
