I would here like to descuss the truth about this venetian
snares record. I know he has used billy holliday, but the
rest of the classic music I would really like to know what
is sampled and what is not.. Are all the melodies his own?
Great result dough!

Well some of it is, i know that some of it is sampled
Hungarian composers. I think some of it is Elgar, don't
quote me on it though.

I dunno about sampling, i think its more a case of getting
the sheet music or midis and using that.

SZAMÁR MADÁR has I vow to thee my country, at least I
think thats what it is called, I may be wide of the mark,
but I'm pretty sure thats what my mum said before telling me
how awful the music sounded!

There was an interview where he talked of this subject. In
it he said that some of it was sampled and some it was his
violin.

I really like most of track 7, the brass is great in
combination with the breaks.. but overall the album get's
just a bit too repeitive in my opinion, I like the drum
programming more on this album then on others though as I
find it a bit more "down to earth", he doesnt just throw in
all the sounds he got at once on this album and that's a
good thing, but I know that some dont agree on that.
Also, he has some synth sounds on this album that reminds me
allot of doll doll doll, they are great.

I dont know anything about the sampling part, I read the
same interveiw that Skink posted before but I really cant
remember anything interesting from it..

All of it or nearly all of it is sampled of course.

02 - szerencsétlen - is Bela Bartok, from his string
quartets

Not familiar with the other ones except the Billie Holiday
cover of that Hungarian song.

They must all be Hungarian composers or Hungary related.

Unfortunately yes, a lot of it is sampled rather than
composed himself, which takes something away for me.

There's Elgar's Cello Concerto, thats the only one I know
