More BoC madness

If you reverse Gyroscope you get the same effect with the
kid, he's saying real numbers. Also the sound near the end
is guitar strings inreverse.

HOLY SHIT! Put the devil is in the details on backwards. It
has her repeating 'I have the answers to help you' a lot in
it. WHAT THE FUCK.

is there a program online to download to play the cd in
reverse?

Here's what I posted at joyrex, I'm hearing much more stuff
inside it now
Put it BACKWARDS. She says stuff this time, and they aren't
as friendly as before! You can hear her repeating stuff like
'I may help' at the very beginning. 'I have the answers to
help you' a lot in it, and 'I shall help'. Also stuff like
'You must go on your own'. If someone wants to try to figure
THIS one out feel free. But now I'm scared to play this
song.

Also, to reverse it get Goldwave (search for it)

Zombiekev, that's a little bit fucking obvious now. But that
the Devil in the Deatils thing is scaring me shitless.

here's what the first backwards part to me now sounds like:

'I need help. They put me on the mission again. I'm back out
in the fucking woods.' I'm fairly sure that's what it's
saying. Jesus christ this is freaky.

Also, in 1969 if you reverse it a voice is obviously saying
'David Koresh' in it, several times throughout the song.

they are just having some fun...

subliminal messages DONT work
... that is a popular myth, just like people think cold
medicines cure their colds and that christianity is real and
good.

i found a bunch of stuff in down chorus, but i'm having
trouble making some of it out

at one point it sounds like "(p)lay around at home" if you
reverse this one section in the middle

did anyone ever find the one at 4:28 in aquarius, i haven't
heard much about it.. "we're too late ****" maybe "we're too
late warren" can't quite tell

Astar: Is that pic from "Pete Standing Alone"?

offline astar from Canada on 2002-02-20 09:53 [#00094475]
Points: 247 Status: Regular

absolutely.

Pete Standing Alone is a Blood Indian who, as a young man,
was more at home in the White man's culture than his own.
However, confronted with the realization that his children
knew very little about their origins, he became determined
to pass down to them the customs and traditions of his
ancestors. This hour-long film is the powerful biographical
study of a twenty-five-year span in Pete's life, from his
early days as an oil-rig roughneck, rodeo rider and cowboy,
to the present as an Indian concerned with preserving his
tribe's spiritual heritage in the face of an energy-oriented
industrial age.

heh

Subliminal messages do work, are more effective the less
inttelligent the recipeint is. They are also more effective
on less intelligent as images rather than sounds.

Although it is just my opinion I also don't think that
reverse messages that are deeply embedded in music are
"readable" by your brain.

offline astar from Canada on 2002-02-20 11:41 [#00094535]

there's alot in alpha and omega too, i think i even found a
"rise"

near the end, in reverse:
"c'mon man, i'm saying this, that if my (w)life / he had his
business too"

i think i hear a cat meow, and some dishes moving or
something throughout the song...

there's more than just "david koresh" in 1969, check it out,
listen carefully

now that i've listened to it a couple hundred times, i'm
pretty sure it says:

"jail people besiege david koresh, now we're all fumbled up"

i think it's bizzare that BoC have got me to pay £25 for
the vinyl from warpmart, there must be some kind of
subliminal suggestion in their past releases, £25!!!! i
can't beleive it, i must be nuts.

also ordered the Fog album from ninjatune, from the 12" i
picked up a couple of weeks ago it should be good.

these things have probably already been mentioned in one of
the other 100 boc threads..but here are a few things ive
noticed....
the smallest weird number=70
the song of the same name is 70 seconds long (the track is a
few seconds longer...but the actual music stops at 1:10)
on 'sunshine recorder' you can hear a kid's voice saying 'an
eagle in your mind' in the background
the more audible kid's voice on that track is saying 'a
beautiful place'
also...the cd is 23 tracks long...
2/3=the golden ratio...something boc have mentioned using
quite frequently..

i think there were a few other things i noticed..but i
forget them at the moment...

hehe .. boc probably have subliminal messages throughout
their songs along the lines of "you will love BoC, buy all
our releases etc. etc." -

Haven't heard Geogaddi, but MhtrtC and IabpitC were both
quite nice :)

well, what do you mean by "subliminal messages"? sure, you
can effect peoples moods and attitudes thru sounds and
visuals, and the more gullible and/ or ignorant you are, the
subceptible you may be...

but the idea of subliminal messages has been very heavily
researched over the last 50 years (any Psych majors out
there?), from what i understand, a little over 50 years ago
some researcher did an experiment in a movie theatre where
he had hidden messages that were impossible to discern
normally play during the movie to suggest that everybody go
buy some popcorn, and popcorn sales did go up during that
experiment, and the guy published his study based on ONE
experiment. thousands of researchers have tried to
duplicate such experiments since using better methods, and
none have succeeded.
if you can't normally see or hear or understand a message
that is hidden, your subconscious mind can't either. so,
for example, if BoC hid a message that can't be heard at all
normally in their track were the voice says "i love you",
which tells you to go kill your parents, there is no
scientific proof that your subconscious mind is going to
make you go kill your parents while you conscious mind just
hears "i love you". and if you don't understand the
references to Koresh, they can't really have any specific
effect on you...
...well, if you have any different or newer information,
please share...

...BoC is just having some fun to see if anybody will catch
it... glad they are having some fun, people in "idm"
sometimes get a bit too serious...

Hhmmm, the golden mean ration is an irrational number, but
it is quite close to 2/3. You probably knew that. Did you
know that the ratio of two consecutive fibonacci numbers
approaches the golden ratio as it approaches infinity? I
find that very fascinating. The fibonacci is like nature's
whole number approximation of the golden mean.
