Ok.

I liked the scrapped princess series. I thought it was
completely well done and was wondering if there is a DVD set
(english dubbed) that i could pick up.

One of the few i liked

I only got two episodes of this one and then forgot to
download the rest because I got really into lots of other
shows. Anyway, I'll download the rest.

I couldn't find anything about it on play, but
animenation has it.

thank you sir!

gwely: if I can find the vcd with ep. 1 on, I could share it
for you, but you'd get some more files (don't know which),
and you'd have to either burn it onto a vcd or mount the
image or something... also, if it isn't indeed a vcd, but a
dvd I burnt it to, the upload would be 4gb...

alot of anime is a bit like cheese; really boring and it
gives you a headache

watching.

there are a few other nice ones out there... I'll have to
watch more of scrapped princess before I can recommend
similar stuff, though... if you'd want recommendations, that
is...

I'll get on to downloading more of this series right away
then. Otherwise, I'm already sharing quite a bit of nice
stuff on soulseek, and can log on there if you'd like.

Cowboy bebop is great, but I don't have the first episodes
shared unfortunately (space issues).. they're on different
dvds.

Hundred stories is absurd and occult and whatnot. Nice
style.

Haibane Renmei has its own thread on here on the front page
already. It's quiet and more story based again.

Excel saga is a high-energy comedy thing. Lots of fast
talking. Puni puni poemi is its "successor" and the talking
is even faster.

Paranoia agent makes no sense thus far. A kid with a golden
bat and golden rollerblades is beating people up.

Last Exile is nice. More story based and quiet although
action filled in a way.

Yakitate.. well.. it's about a kid who wants to make bread
and.. erh.. it's comedy I guess.

neon genesis evangelion is a classic, but I'm not sharing
the first episodes of the same reason as I'm not sharing the
first of cowboy bebop.

jubei chan the ninja girl.. although the title makes it
sound gay, it's pretty funny! absurd things going on.

serial experiments lain is great, but I'm not sharing
anything. Have it all on vcds.

dokuro chan is comedy. lots of blood and explosive
diahorreah.

princess tutu.. well it's kind of girly (it's about a girl
that does ballet), but has enough absurd elements to keep me
interested.. like a cat who is a teacher (even though the
main character doesn't really get why) and that makes people
marry him if they're disobedient. I'll have to watch episode
two before deciding if the absurdity wins over the girly
plot, though...

bat and golden rollerblades is beating people up." made me

actually...

the anime fans in this thread should watch genshiken.

no, just divxs burnt on a cd.

the description for genshiken makes so little sense, I'll
just HAVE to check it!

Sasahara Kanji is a new collage student, and he makes up
his mind to join a circle to share his thought of Manga,
Anime, and Game that has been hidden until he enters the
college.

When he visited Genshi-Ken, which is short for "Gendai
Shikaku Bunka Kenkyuu Kai"(Contemporary Visual Culture
Research Organization), his groundless pride was destroyed
by the plot of Madarame, a sophomore student of Genshi-Ken.
But he can't admit that he is an Otaku.
However, as he acts line with Kosaka, who is a deep Otaku in
spite of his handsome looking, and other members of
Genshi-Ken, by going to dojin (private publishing) shops and
the anime festivals, he opens his mind and he resolves that
he make his way into Otaku world.
With other members, for example, Kasuga Saki, who is not
Otaku but is hot for Kosaka, and Ohono, the cosplayer,
Sasahara's Otaku life in Genshi Ken goes slowly today.

scrapped princess was delicious. one of my favourites, i
think.

just whatever you do, for the love of god, don't buy
this dvd collection. the subs are complete fucking
shit. almost unintelligable. i won't buy anime domestically
because it's just plain too expensive. it's a joke. i'm yet
to see a decent collection around on ebay, though. i still
say the hong kong "bootlegs" are the way to go, because
they're ass cheap and fantastic quality (if you know what to
look for. i jumped the gun with this one. oh well). just
make sure they're the "perfect collections", with the
english dubs as well as subtitles, and you're cool (although
i can't remember the companies to stay away from. it's been
a few years since i've bought anything). only way to do
anime.

this is how i've purchased trigun, outlaw star, cowboy
bebop, flcl, initial d, eva, the vampire hunter d movies,
etc. etc.

I've had nothing but trouble with bootlegs.

fansubs work great, though, and if you burn it to dvd AS
dvd, it actually looks pretty good too!

paranoia agent is fucking insane
i love that show...

wtf though no mention of samurai champloo? vash the
stampede? fm alchemist? (yeah i know it's gay, but it has
it's moments) and >gasp< flcl?!?!?!?!?!?!

c'mon! these shows are the shit!

I thought I'd recommend samurai champloo once I have it all
or after he'd seen cowboy bebop. Either that or gwely should
get the honors, as he introduced me to it!

vash the stampede? can't find info.

shit- i meant trigun, the main character is called vash the
stampede
and yeah, seeing champloo and THEN bebop is like reading the
book and then watching the movie... it's dissapointing when
in reality both are very good works of art

yeah...

I have lots more stuff to recommend, but I can't really put
my mind together right now. It's 04:41, and I don't know why
I'm awake.

full metal alchemist isn't gay. it's very awesome, in fact.

and i have all of samurai champloo. i could try and find a
way to share it with you. slsk doesn't work for me, for
whatever reason. it hasn't for over a year.

I have to recommend RE: Cutie Honey too! Made by the FLCL
people, and based on a weird show from the 70s or something!
It's crazy!

"ZOOKA! I'M SHOOTING ZOOKA!"
