U2 Gig

I just saw U2 at hampden tonight. It was excellent. I'm not
a massive fan but they sure know how to put on a great show,
and the crowd were up for it. Bono did his usual
Bono-saves-the-world routine, and it was a bit cheesy, but
they are great musicians.

The guitar solo in New Year's Day was a highlught for me,
and With Or Without You was lovely. They played for about 2
and a half hours.

Great gig, and it was free!

I heard that they have a shadow band under the stage playing
along to the whole thing.

they rejected 4 billion dollers? couldn't they have used it
to pay up debts for those 3rd world countries they strive
so hard to help?

bono has really become attached to the microphone over the
years. the gig sounds fun, hopping about to some old u2
sounds like an okay time.

I saw them about the time of Zooropa, their last good album,
and it was the only Stadium Gig I ever went to (apart from
the time I was an usher at a Take That concert), and I
enjoyed it. The last three albums suck a bag of dicks,
though.

that's what they were going to do apperantly..but since
'when the streets have no name' was in question they decided
not to do it because that s a very special songs to them and
if they used it for a commercial that specialness would die
or something..ahh, they're just full of shit

they had no problem giving ipod their new song, so if that's
their stance on not taking the money then they're admitting
to the fact that their new music is disposable crap.

world

yeah it's stupid..they said if the gig goes wrong that song
always saves it..they only think about themselves..but
that's nothing new really..they like the attention..

yeah i really give a shit about whether a Commercial Pop
band will put their music in commercials. if you make
commercial music, you don't have integrity to safeguard in
the first place.

U2 were good until The Joshua Tree, went rotten then good
again after ten years with the album Pop. Unfortunatly those
ten years were their most popular.
