How many more times must we watch faded stars trying to resurrect their failing careers under the pretence of fighting poverty? Sir Bob ( who coincidentally has a boomtown rats greatest hits out ) and Bono ( new album to plug at the moment ) might have their hearts in the right place, but come across as some sort of messianic figures trying to right the wrongs in the world. Did the G8 not just wipe 60 billion off of these countries debts? What are the twats complaining about? It's just one big corporate back-slapping gang-bang and if one penny of the proceeds go the people who really need it i'll be amazed. I bet you bob is still smarting after the tsunami wiped his last Band-aid single from the charts. Fran Healy - he's the worst - they are all fame hungry whores who will prostitute the suffering of people to try and sell their awful records.

I'm interested in the Sail 8, it's an amusing thought of an "armada" of fishing boats going to relieve poverty. Where are they meant to be going again?

Making bob a sir does not make him immune from the laws of this country, young man. you should do well to remember that.

It also does not make us immune from his moral outrage.

Is it me or is Bob Geldof going against his own words. He had a major hissy fit about people only remembering him for Live Aid and being "Mr Bloody Africa". Now he does this. Twat. Boomtown rats were fucking awful too. If he, bono, healey and martin are all so upset about Africa then how about they donate some of their massive personal fortunes as well as imploring us to do the same. They could all donate a few million and still live very nicely. Fucking cunts.

It's as if people would be happier if celebrities just asked for fistfuls of cash. You miserable bunch of cunts. Why do you give a flaming shit if Bob Geldof went back on his word? It's for charity etc... if Bono sells another zillion wank albums off the back of this I could not possibly care less. So what if pop stars don't really care as much as they pretend? You and I could still afford a fucking load more money than we ever give to charity but we don't, so get over it. Some money will go to some people who need it more than the people it came from, people will be more aware of some injustice of other, and Bob will get to shout in his silly oyrish and bray his humanitarian moral outrage like the the glamourised tramp that he is.

But don't you think that Bono showing some zimbabwaen children starving to death live via satellite on a big screen while he's singing "one" is in slightly bad taste? i know his heart is in the right place, but come on. I for one won't be watching it.
