I was recently treated to a listen of Michael Stearns' "The Storm" album and it totally blew me away. The mood of the music (if it can be described as such) is so atmospheric and emotive that it allows you to just clear the thoughts completely from your brain and imagine yourself to be almost in a dream as it captivates you and you slip into what I can only describe as a trance. I particularly liked his stuff with Viji Subramaniam because I found it really uplifting and was just wondering if there are any other artists like him out there who produce similar trance-enducing material. (I don't just mean any old ambience, what I am seeking is more absorbing) |
