Now that it is out in the open that you apparently dislike me, i think it won't matter much at all to say that closing that thread was really uncalled for IMO. Nobody but you seemed to have any problems with it. I think your 'reasons' showed pretty clearly that this is something personal and not an act of 'regular moderation'. I don't post a whole lot here, and i certainly have never made a thread called 'untilted = shit' and even if i had, if that is a reason for you to dislike me, you need to lighten the fuck up and get your priorities sorted. p.s: fuck you. |

You directly linked a page of someone who obviously considers themself an artistic. You didn't discuss her work you just saw fit to slate it without cause. Often as a result of direct linking the person then visits this site and a)either causes or b)gets really hurt. Either way it is not something that xltronic should be involved in. |

the point remains, nobody seemed to have any problems with the thread and some even seemed to have a laugh about it. while starting off in a rather 'negative' tone, i too considered this thing quite laughable. i didn't exactly set out to ruin this person's life by expressing my feelings on a messageboard and like VP said, it happens all the time, yet i'm getting one mod's bad mood/frustrations over me, and now yours. there isnt much to discuss about this particular piece of 'art' which is put up for sale for as much as 99 pounds. in this case, who can take this seriously? please give me an example of 'slating with cause'. for all you know this person has in a way offended me. had i chosen a more 'jokingly' approach, would things be different? this whole thing is getting blown out of proportion. |

I'm not having a go at you, and yes in a way I do feel mod_belch closing the topic was perhaps a little heavy handed in view of some of the other topics on the board. However, all things considered, topics of that nature have no real place on an electronic music board. Slating with cause would be if the person had somehow wronged you. ie. you bought a peice of art only to receive something of vastly inferior quality to what you had actually ordered. |

Probably I shouldn't mention it as I don't want to stir up a hornets nest, but I didn't think there was anything wrong with the post at all. I'd say it's perfectly fine to bring something ridiculous to attention. And it was pretty poor art. In my view, of course. People have posted far worse and got away with it. |

"well, i think maybe a kid might have made it? perhaps?" hadnt thought of that. i just assumed this wasnt the case, because of the poor art on that site in general. either way, i realise it was a shit topic and i should have kept my frustration to myself, or should have refrained from direct linking (thanks lee for pointing out the possible consequences), and just uploaded a pic and the pricetag (which is actually 400 pounds for the 40"x60" canvas). i am slowly learning from my mistakes. that said, i don't recall having been very negative about things often lately so there might be some progress. i'm sorry this thread is getting all out of hand. |
