hmmm... i've got that familiar rumbly tummy feeling, but I
don't know what to make... perhaps some pasta to whet my
appetite...

tell me what's for dinner on the other side of the globe!
What did you / are you all eating tonight?

think orangey jelly, think cake, think chocolate, now fuse
them together. I give you the cake of jaffa, also known as
the jaffa cake. How can it be a cake if it looks like a
cookie? How are they made? Who is Jaffa? There is much
mystery behind the jaffa cake, but one thing I do know - I
like them. With milk.

there is a lot of controversy as to whether jaffa cakes are
cakes or biscuits....

"These small circular sponges topped with chocolate and
squidgy orange stuff have been the subject of much debate
over the years. Even the British government has become
embroiled in this web of snack-related intrigue. At present
the Jaffa Cake is classified as a cake but the British
government is attempting to get it reclassified as a
biscuit. This would mean it would come under a higher tax
bracket as biscuits aren't as perishable as cakes, or
something technical like that.!

however, the underlying and indisputable evidence is that
when a cake goes stale it goes hard, and when a biscuit goes
stale it goes soft.... jaffa cakes go hard.
