if i had to introduce someone to my favourite sounds it
would be this...im totally addicted to this track, from the
first gurgling melody to the recitment of family member

i love the start with the samples...but after that lady has

faze out...

feeling the midnite vultures theme =)

it is stoopid but...

the name recital gives me vivid images of a dittery old
woman looking at old photos or something (i find this
funny)..

at 4.40 tho, it kicks so hard its difficult not to like i
find :D

Four years after it came out, and with precious little other
RDJ material to love, yes "Taking Control" really is a sonic
saviour, and not just a forgettable bit of album filler.
Coming from an album filled with... filler.

I like it...but something stops me loving it in some parts.
Meltphace6 on the other hand is perfection from start to
finish to my ears.

drukqs? filler?

two words that no one will ever use in the same breath in a
million years.

its a short sighted assumption that Drukqs is filled with
filler.

there are 3-5 tracks that could be safely removed without
any harm, but the rest is bliss.

A reliable source once told me that Richard had no intention
of Drukqs being a 2CD set and just supplied Warp with a load
of tracks. Warp HQ decided to make it a double CD, then
someone at WArp HQ chose the tracks to include and ordered
them on the CDs. It would have been much stronger had it
have been 1 CD. Although the flip side is that we would
have had less RDJ material. I'm not a huge fan of Drukqs as
an album, but as individual tracks it is ace. I just stuck
them all onto Minidisc and ordered them my own way.

I always felt that Orban Eq was kind of filler. I think. Too
skeletal. But for a double album that fills pretty much both
discs, yeah, I think Druqks is pretty airtight. Remarkable
stuff 4 years later, I'm still impressed.

I had assumed it's his mom, so it wouldn't make sense if she
was saying Lorna anyways. (Cool fact: Lorna is my mom's name
too!)
