 | WTF? Don't know much about it other than its secretive and half the members make a lot of money and the other half give
 a lot of money.
Oh, and apparently we are infested with confused alien
 spirits.

Tom Cruise's recent exploits have me convinced he reached
upper levels and subsequently lost his friggin' mind. I
can't imagine how so many seemingly well-versed A-lister's
 buy into this stuff.

 Can someone explain?

 | hahaha -
Immediately prior to this work, Hubbard was intensively
involved with the occultist Jack Parsons in performing the
occult rites developed by Aleister Crowley. Some critics
have pointed out the many similarities in Hubbard's writings
 to the doctrines of Crowley

 - No shit. Now that is funny... Crowley was quite cool as
shit. I knew there were similarities between the Xenu myth
and the gnostic demiurge myth. hmmmm.......

 | i used to practice with my soccer (football) team at a school called the Progressive Academy, which was, as far as
i could tell, a Scientology school... we were just wandering
around one night before practice, and we found this little
seating area where there were a bunch of picture books by L
Ron Hubbard... one was basically telling kids how to learn,
so it was page after page after page of illustrations of
things you shouldn't do... "don't slouch", "don't sit
 stiff", etc.
it was pretty funny to flip through

 | The church of scientology did a sort of tour round the uk a few years back. I got a few of the leaflets and thought it
was utter crap, plus any religion that uses advertisments
and famous people to promote itself can't really be seen as
 more than a publicity stunt.
Still I've seen quite a few of their churches, there is one
 on Totenham Road.

 | One day when I was looking for work, I submitted a resume to this job placement company. They immediately called me and
told me to come in for an interview. It was based out of
this house in a nicer part of vancouver, and I had to go in
through the back sliding window. I walked up to the desk,
and handed them a copy of my resume, and they told me to sit
down in the waiting room untill they had my intelligence
test ready. Intelligence test? That was when I started
looking around the room. The first thing that caught my eye,
was this 6 foot by 3 foot painting of some wolves on a cliff
howling at the moon, with the clouds making up the face of
none other than L Ron Hubbard himself! Heh... suprise
suprise... they were scientologists! I glanced at the book
case, and noticed one complete row of books entitled
 dianetics.

I almost decided to leave right there, but then I thought it
might be fun to have my real personality analyzed by them,
instead of one of the fake personalities that I always go
and get tested. So I did their inteligence test. It was
funny because they tell everyone that nobody ever completes
it within the half hour, but I made a point of answering all
the questions, and making most of the answers correct. I
usually do very well on intelligence and aptitude tests, not
because I am extremely intelligent, but because I am really
good at working with shapes and patterns. They were all
impressed, and handed me the personality test right away.
That was where the interview process went sour. Normally
they make a point of taking a person into a room, and going
over the test with them all to figure out a way to tell the
person 'this is how we can help you', but this time the only
two things I heard about my test was "(forget name) can you
look at this for a second", and then a couple minutes later
"we don't have anything for you at the moment, but we will
keep your resume on file for future clients". I kind of
wonder what they came up with, cause they are usually
desparate for people to joint their c

 | hey that's Mathamatics, it has no room for exceptions. (the heartless subject)

Yes, they were all nice to me giving me leaflets and
offering to show me around their exhibition. At first it
looks harmless; plus you don't really think of religion when
you hear the word Scientology mentioned; but then you start
noticing the word church everywhere and the "helpers"
stalking you. When I noticed it I told my mum "you know
what, I don't like it here let's just leave." At this point
we were intercepted by one of them and asked whether we were
enjoying ourselves I said some rubbish and made it obvious
we wanted to leave, seeing this the helper stuffed a load of
leaflets in my hand and tried to get us to buy books worth
£20+. We just headed straight for the lift and never ever
looked back. My mum goes to me a few minutes after leaving
"what a load of rubbish, nothing to do with science at all".
 It made me laugh.

 | There was a scientology 'celebrity center' near where I used to live in Portland. One time I was walking in the mall
with a ladyfriend and I wasn't quite paying attention. She
asked if I wanted to make a non-violence pledge at this
booth thing that was set up. I looked up and saw it was
some sort of Scientology publicity thing where they were
collecting people's handprints for some 'non violence
pledge'... and we had been approached by a helper. I
wrenched at her arm with sudden fear and got out of there as
 quickly as possible.

 | No. The looked kind of disturbed when they finally finished calculating the test. I think it kind of scared them. There
must be a couple personalities that they don't touch. I
probly landed in the "cynic: will not buy our bullshit hands

intelligence test they decided I would best not be a member
of their church. Either that, or I was so full of theitans
that I managed to seem contaigous.
