I think we should give up hope regarding the BoC album.

once again. I dont mind as I dont think BoC is that great.
The best thing they have ever done came out this year tho,
The beck remix. I would love to see something new by Chris
Clark.

Esbjørn Svensson Trio - Viaticum
prefuse 73 - surrounded by silence
mos def - the new danger
nas - streets disciple

I don't know what was released in 2005 besides those, and I
can't be arsed to check right now, as I need to organize all
my cd's and vinyl first... still haven't got any shelves up
in this place...

Definately. I'd love to see where he takes his sound next;
Empty The Bones of You was a great release imo.

You're right actually.

I was being a bit too impatient/pessimistic.

ive bought a lot of albums this year, but 'human after all'
and 'untilted' are the only ones that were actually released
in 2005...

Bloc Party? It's good but surely it can't be called the
defining album of the year... Having said that, I can't
think of one right now... ^^ Though I have enjoyed my
futureheads album a lot. Very... different. Hounds of love
kicks Kate Bush ass, though does get a bit samey I admit.
Half the enjoyment came from a couple of Zenn tracks burnt
on the end from a random band at my mate's house party.

Mr Lidell's has a good vibe to it, it's abotu time he
finally left his voice alone on record.

Quality stuff

Or maybe, as I suspect, we've had the golden age of music in
the last 15 years or so and we didn't realise how lucky we
were...
