NOW I KNOW THERE ARE SOME OF YOU WHO READ THIS BOOK IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. I LOVED THIS STORY AND IM GOING TO LOVE THE MOVIE. THE SPECIAL EFFECTS DIRECTOR IS THE SAME GUY WHO DID LOTR. No, it's not like that for most movies that were books. Despite the fact that the majority of movies that were adapted from books are inferior to the original, Disney have a unique way of fucking them up by trying to suit them to the audience to maximise profit. It's something they ought to be ashamed of. PS when you type in caps you look like a complete fucking idiot, so no attention will be paid to what you write, regardless of how well articulated it is. okay. well after checking it out. the first bit of the trailer looks good. not the very first bit, not the bit where they are coming to the house because that part is terrible, but when they are in the house. it is okay, but when they go to narnia it gets all swooping-crane shots and swords and lotr orchs and shit. that part is lame. so the part between getting to and leaving the house is okay. except for the little girl. i REALLY dont like the little girl here. she was cool in the book, but pretty awful here: |

The film was pretty mediocre. The witch was the best character, but the rest of them were lame - the kids just don't know how to act. The special effects were nice and all but this was nothing that good. And the big battle that practically the whole movie was a preparation for lasted like two minutes. The music reminded me of Harry Potter. Which isn't really a good thing. Anyway the best part in the whole movie was a leopard/gepard/whatever that I glimpsed during the crowning ceremony, it looked like it had glasses on, which, for some reason, amused me. So yeah. |

I thought the movie was lame. And the book also. One thing that specifically bothered my about the movie was the music, getting a pop star to sing in what is supposed to be an adaptation of a timeless classic (though not to my taste) is the equivalent of shitting on it. |
