Tool Assisted Console Game Movies

These are movies of classic console games being played
extraordinarily, using an emulator as a tool to overcome
human limitations of skill and reflex.

Not Tool Assisted Console Game Movies

If you want to see real skill, watch some of these movies.
The Metal Gear Solid ones are the most remarkable to me.

I love watching these but it kind of brings a new meaning to
the word 'pointless'

Turning around quickly (SMB2)
How it's done: I studied the way the characters turn around
at 5% speed, and I could not notice any difference between
how fast they turn around in the air or on the ground
(unless the ground is ice, in which case you could turn
around faster in the air).
The only way to turn around faster is to let go of B (this
works both in the air and on land), which seems to somehow
cause the character to lose it's momentum faster. To turn
around as quickly as possible, let go of B for 1 frame
during the next frame after you let go of the original
direction.
