Yes, it's true... finally I met Gianluigi and we drunk a
couple of drinks together (our girls were with us too).
We chatted for about 3 hours inside a nice pub in front of
the sea in Liguria (Alassio the city name).
We spoke about Richard, Tom, Mike P, Grant, Rephlex, Thomas
Dolby, Xltronic, his next album, our MG cars, etc...
It was really a pretty night and he's really a nice person.

\/\/.

It'd be nice to see his own label up and running
again...perhaps with some of those extremely rare releases.

internet dating.

it's also how I had a short fling with Mike P before I got
the whole "he's a man!"-thing.

and why I barely averted disaster and almost dated William
Shatner.

are you speaking about Kromode? yeah i asked same things to
him. he said it could be a BW compilation or something
similiar.

pomme: we had first contacts by mail about 3 years ago.
then i prepared bochum welt discography for xltronic with
his help, and then now finally i met him.

what was it like to touch an idm star? what did he smell
like? did he have a pair of trainers with those flashy
lights in the back? what was his opinion on 3rd world debt?

offline notmyname from France on 2005-06-07 10:38 [#01625279]

i liked it of course but going (hard to find it also) to the
"public" beach with 7 friends, was difficult 'coz there were
little place so we're were like, really close to 200,000
mamas, families & baby crying, etc.. most of the time, i go
to almost deserted atlantic coast, so it was new to me but
it was great fun (because of the lack of space i felt like a
socialist :against private beaches!).

ELAN = Emulated LAN
or LANE (as cisco calls it)
LAN Emulation

why do you keep bringing up Elans??

yes, it's a shame 'cos in Alassio there are not free
beaches! that's a problem of many beaches in Italy, while in
Spain most of all are free.

eartleakage: i didn't know an idm star, i simply meet a nice
person and maybe a friend.

notmyname: he didn't listen all analord stuff yet.
whta i can say his fav afx album is saw85-92, he likes BoC,
he esteems Mark Bell, he said good things about Grant,
Richard, Mike P, etcc... he doesn't like drill'n'bass and
'indutstrial electronic' not more.

he's friend of Thomas Dolby and likes his music very much

a last curiosity... he likes japanese restaurants ;-)
