we used random paints we found, our fingers/hands, an axe, a large wooden plate, some smaller wooden plates, sand-paper, cardboard, [stuff for fixing walls], spray paint, stencils, gauze, sand, knife, scrape-ish thing and a hammer to make these... I couldn't use the flash when taking the pictures of the paintings, so the pics came out kind of blurry and you can't really see everything very good, but still... enjoy or whatever... |

thanks guys! impakt: yeah, that's our favorite too! it's the first we made, so it has affection value! heh... brokephones: that one took one full month to dry 'cause we figured it would be fun to put bike-oil on it.. hahah... aestethics: frukt is about 30 cm wide and 50 cm high.. haven't measured it, though, so that's an approximation... dog: heh.. we didn't really have any "artistic purpose" when making them, I just wanted something on the walls here... 2x2 is actually made of cardboard and plaster... haha! we've got two more in the works.. the one is for a friend who wanted some art when he saw this, and the other is just something we've been fucking with a lot.. it's huge (two doors nailed together), and it's probably got ten layers of paint + some plaster on it by now... we've finally decided we'll paint something random on it and then pour sambucca on it and light it on fire and see what comes of it... don't know how we'll get it up here, though... it will have to come up ... |

yeah that was supposed to be a followup to you, sorry. a lamp will do, but try altering your camera's whitebalance first so it doesn't make everything red/orange. |

frukt is delightful.. the different tones and the way they are blended together is fucking lovely. well done. glotch's stuff is amazing too - the technique reminds me a bit of incunabula art for some reason. but better. a unique style imo. proud of you boyz :D |

mostly I use oil paint on panel with small brushes (0-000+) or oil & acrylic with a variety of tools, painted on either panel or stretched canvas. |

Aesthetics - Thanks! Drunken Mastah - the more tools, the more options! Brushes are a love hate relationship. As for preplanning, the digital looking ones were 1st hand drawn out and all the colors were filled in subsequently. I make the colors (100+ hues of each color sometimes!) as I go. I did those last summer during 11+ hour days, 5-6 days a week for up to 6 weeks for each of those three. The most recent painting took about 5 weeks while I was doing school shit and teaching too. Exaph - hmmm... I dunno, I'd say like somewhere between $1000 - $1500. Pricing is always a sticky thing. It usually depends on several things. |

Frukt = amasing. very good composition and usage of colors 'kett = not very good at all. looks slopped together 2x2 = good concept, used more detail and varitey is the squares if you continue to make paitings like the first in about 30 x 30 inches (and bigger) you could sell these for some cashmoney. infact, if i had the money i would buy the frukt. you better ebay it nukka |

thanks! not too harsh at all! after all, this is subjective stuff... I just measured frukt, and it is 46x55 centimetres... I don't know about selling stuff, but we'll see.. we've been joking with the idea of making enough to have an "exhibit" or whatever, but it'll probably stay with the joke... you never know, though... |

id totally do it. im working on an "exhibit" for our senior art show/portfolio next year. its all very large illustrations of electronic musicians and their cd/vid/promotion artwork. im doing it all on illustration board (costing me loads) and with black sharpies only. im done with aphex twin so far, first one i'd do naturally. i shall photograph and post it sometime |
