i like the sam&valley cd its some weird japanese pop but its
a pretty cool cd (cheap @warpmart i think), i bought
cylobiansunset 3 months ago: its bloody awesome, ace synths
lines!!

anyone knows most rephlex releases are wiked.
but no nostalgia 'cause new analords will be relesed soon!

My rephlex nostalgia:

Kosmik Kommando: Freaquenseize
Vibert / Simmonds: Weirs (amazing; if anyone has the vinyl
for sale let me know)
Pierre Bastien
Surprised no one's mentioned Ovuca/Astrobotnia

I agree with dog belch on the two Vulva LPs as well. I've
been listening to them a lot lately.

Poor Aleksi hasn't been on rephlex long enough to deserve a
nostalgia post. Give him 5 years or so...

the first post mentions '96 d&b classixxx which is from 2002
(same year as astrobotnia; 3 years after ovuca's first). all
in good fun anyway, nostalgia is a relative term esp. in
electronic music

yeah, I was just pulling your leg since you already had
mentioned ovuca and astrobotnia, and thus made a nostalgia
post about him :)

on it?

CAT003
IG-88
(white label - 100 pressed...errr maybe)

I can't find it referenced anywhere other than the old
rephlex page.

you bet, this thread is the sweet thing

i just wished i was "old school rephlex"
well better school than no school

my first aphex twin was "ventolin", its warp, but who
counting ?

i'm just discovering jason buckle (only heard jamrolypoly
which i loved) and i cannot express enough love for the
music he makes, it is simply oustanding!
plus he seems able to pull every genre ever from his hat

the collab with jarvis coker (relaxed muscle) i heard the
first lp and it's the best pop record i have ever heard :D

flying lo-fi (cat064) has at least 3 track i had heard
before in dj sets and wondered if i would ever know who made
them, this lp is amazing from start to finish, exellent
stuff !

rephlex is god!

most underrated rephlex release & electronic release
ever...in my opinion

that album is amazing !

flying lo-fi rocks pretty hard! I gotta thank elusive for
recommending this one to me!

Dan is dead right about the Vulva. I also dig the x-asp
release.

Peter Green is an overlooked artist for some reason.

so, which early classixxxxxx (really similar) do you prefer
between the followings:

chimera - valley of the spirits
vulva - from the cockpit
b12 - electrosoma

if you want i can enlarge the list....but the game will be
harder:
black dog - bytes
speedy j - ginger

also
biosphere - microgravity

i have the peter green macbeth cd, a bit weird in the second
half but the sound designing is outstanding
the first track is wonderfull, an all synthetic orchestra
playing lovely pastoral music, sounds so real and organic...

virtual farmer is phenominal, and as for the nostalgia, the
lisa carbon trio :D
808 jazzy beats madness topped by constant moog solo
crazyness, can be hard on the ear when too loud but it's
such a perfect fusion of drummachine beats and live synth
performance, like a real band, i can listen too it now and
it doesn't feel too old
