jesus.....in the short time ive been visiting here ive come
to the realization that most of the users/mods here are a
bunch of whining hags. get a fuckin life, i mean who the
hell argues about stupid shit like this??

if after 50 replies no one did anything to support jedi, i
think that clears the pole for statement that he wasnt that
much liked at all. after all, its only woofers friends, and
the rest have something against, so please delete thiz
thread, as it makes this mb looking like pathetic soap
opera.

It takes a real man to listen and try
to understand a viewpoint that he doesnt hold.

true. and it takes a man not to hide behind the mod shield -
and laugh instead of answering questions straight.

I found Jedi Chris to be a normal guy. Until he did that
banning fest.

Heheh, I'm nervous about every post now. I don't feel like
being banned again.

yes, normal = typical, like the rest 500 here. i havent seen
any support threads, and there are really ones that would
need them more.

Makes the mb look like a soap opera! LOL It already is a
soap opera, a huge drama between those that fall out over a
sneeze!

Jedi Chris placed a permanent ban on himself. Had he not,
he'd be back next week to make the situation worse!
Phobiazero didn't ban him, and didn't want to ban him. The
problem with this place is the 'little' people who think
they have a 'big' say. You don't. People who have nothing
better to do than challenge the integrity and authority of
those who THE GUY IN CHARGE has put into power. If you have
a problem with the moderators, tell the guy in charge, don't
take it upon yourself to spoil everyone elses fun by
dragging it out across the mb. It's not big, it's not
clever, and it's certainly not making this place look like a
decent place to be.

IMHO.

what suprises me is the fact that phob, after what happened
didnt wanted to get rid of jedi - this would be a question
if it would come to anhyone gray from the list, but WHOAH,
there we have friendship which prevents from equal
judgements and serving the same rights to everyone. this
makes the board a sad place, but start to complain, you wil
be flamed, thats one rule here.

Eh? I think you'll find that extra liberty is given to some
people above others due to past experience and judgement.
For instance, mods would be given greater latitude since, in
the webmaster's opinion they have been deemed stable and
capable enough to be made a mod in the first place. Unknowns
and wankers won't get the same because they are unknown or
wankers.

Friendships get formed in a similar way so that there is a
link between favouritism and friendship is really not a
surprise.

Oh, so because you're Mr 3239 posts, you're the knowledge on

And you accuse me of being a troll - well all I can say is
"takes one to know one", and you're the author of the book

I respect the fact that you, and others have been here for a
long time, but be under no illusion: I know plenty about the
workings of mb's having run one once, quite successfully
myself. All it takes to bring one down, is someone
irresponsible, and malicious to spoil everyones fun.

I don't think that is why any of us are here, really.

Yes, he is my friend and I am well versed in the history of
this place, but whilst I am his friend I do not condone his
actions.

That would be very short sighted of me. Whilst what he did
was wrong, he did have the boards best interests in mind.
He wasn't forced off by phobiazero, he went of his own free
will, and he had the decency to admit, although not
apologise for being wrong.

Are you going to shun me for having my own free thinking
comments? Or should I leave the board now, just because I
don't follow what you want me to say?

My point was that any bias might be a result of favouritism
and/or friendship, or something else. Proven worth being the
most likely. If you've not proven your worth, you won't get
the same latitude as someone who has. The mods, to a greater
or lesser degree all have "proven their worth".
Except Ophecks, who has "proven they're Worth".
/me laughs at own crap joke.

I think this all needs to be drawn to a close as it has been
dragging on for days.

Jedi Chris has gone.

Some people are happy, others not.

He's not coming back, and things should now move on so that
the board can try and maintain some credability.

It's just a mb on the Internet, and it has no consequence in
real life. Lets all just try and leave this alone, and get
back to talking about music.

Thats all I have to say on the matter.

all bad words many of you think about him and doesn't
deserve a temp ban.

Right, consider this your warning.

As an aside, there are plenty of people who don't post shite
incessantly to bump their post count up as if this somehow
confers credibility to their account. There are plenty of
people who lurk and post here sporadically and people who
came here in the ATNU days and have rejoined here only
recently. Remember, you don't have to be logged in to
read the board.

As Xceque has said, like it or not, moderators are
not
'normal board members'. We have been granted powers
above and beyond those of normal users because we are deemed
to be responsible and honest. If you belong to any other
boards and are honest about the way we behave here compared
to most boards, I think you'll find that for the large part,
are mods our generally very down to earth and do not treat
other users like dirt. Nor do they tend to act superior in
matters not related to board moderation. Perhaps this
culture of behaving in this way has worked against us and it
explains why people take such offence when they are
banned/have threads closed, "You're no different to me, you
can't ban me, etc." Sorry, as is stated in the FAQ we can
and will, if we find you annoying, or bad for the board. Who
decides what's annoying or bad for the board? Us. The
moderators.

if this is your statement, and mods are proven to be over
us, coz they deserved, then jedi deserved BAN, and a PERM
for what he DID in his weakness, therefore, its sad that you
still defend him, and cant admit that he acted like child,
stupid child, for what many would be banned without any
thread.

Even if I don't agree, that's a breath of fresh

Gwely Mernans, tell me what you think of Fissures! If you

very interesting. It's not dark, but it changes a fair bit
and has lots of themes running into one another.

Cer-ching; Consider this your warning. I as a
moderator represent the webmasters. The same webmasters, I
may point out, that know each other in real life. By your
logic, I suppose that means the whole board should be
closed, right?

I've never liked you and looking back at your past 100
posts, every other one seems to be a negative attack on
someone or picking a fight. Your frankly rather racist
comments to Cygnus in that recent thread alone justify a
ban, but given the recent banning debacle, I thought it
would be wise to formally warn you first.

Ha ha, massive co-incedence, I made my last post (comment
regarding last 100 posts) before reading your excellent
suggestion. Great minds think alike and all that :)

I heartily agree with it and would recommend other mods use
it as additional justification when issuing a ban/warning.

Yeah, and apart from that, Steve Roach stuff occasionally
sounds rushed. Although the beauty of The Magnificent Void

Ceri JC, I think the warning idea is good. Maybe I deserved

great now i know what comes to me right ?

and maybe the past 100 posts were only stupid for you ?
will you take the responsibility of judgement someone
without proper trial ? for making a desicion liek that ? you
forgot ceri that you have been given powers to guard the
board, not to threat others for what in your opinion is
wrong. phob has given you the powers just because he couldnt
be here all of the time, and this power has overwhelmed some
ppl as it seems.

half of ppl banned at this time is banned coz they have said
something "wrong" about a mod, that makes a rule for me, not
too nice btw.

im just back from my week ban aswell, to this point i dont
know why and by whio, and i dont care, but you remember
ceri, that youre not god of this mb, you should serve with
good advice and calm mind, not with threats. even if you
will see some ppl arguing iin other threads - for my arguing
had a point somewhere, while some of the threads are
pointless, and i havent seen their creators been warned by
any of the mods.

sadly to say, this whole mess wouldnt be happening if only
you would do something in past - remember the fuss when jedi
was picked up to be a mod ? now the reaction of ppl , for
me, would be enough to do something, while at this past
stage the board was left to its own srach due to wars
between people. now the situation comes to worse, as i see
that one jedi case is spoiling hate all over the place. my
argue with cygnus was my case, not yours, so you shoul
dsimply go nto thread and say " behave guys". have you
warned him aswell ? no strange, coz i can remember that he
insulted me as first, didnt he ?

my dear ceri, you cant expect ppl just sitting and watching,
just look how many opinions about jedi we do have now in
here, how many of them are positive ? does that means
nothing to you ?

and please, i dont need your mercy. mb is a mb, where you
can expect everything, even argues. i was here before i
started to post for a long time, so please dont judge me by
my points - thats would be

ceri jc, i really really dont get this, if you care to
explain it to me. why do i get a warning for stating my
opinion? i didnt do it in any negative fashion. if you cant
have a serious debate without getting threatened with a ban
what messageboard is this then? you can agree with me or
not, but using powers forcing me to agree with you, i dont
like that. yes the faq's reads that if you dont think im
cool you have the right to ban me, but isnt there a fine
borderline between stating your opinion and insulting?
please elaborate.
