As long as marijuana is easy to grow (which it is), and prostitution is difficult to control (which it is), the corporations will probly have a difficult time trying to keep their hands on it. What will probly happend, is they will try to tax people with marijuana farms, and regulate the use of illegal additives to marijuana (which is quite common). If marijuana becomes too difficult or expensive to obtain legaly, then people will just continue to buy it off the street. The laws are still pretty harsh as it is in states that it is fully illegal, and it is still easy to get. I don't think the government would try to tax prostitution or anything like that. That is much too controversial a subject, the government making money off of women who get paid for sex. It will most likely be more laws will be set up in favor of the women. Then they lawyers can get rich. |

its a common misperception that weed is legal in california, which is only half correct. the only way to own/smoke herb legally is to have a perscription for it, and there are obviously a few restrictions. you can only have a quarter ounce on you at a time (otherwise they can nail you with intent to distribute) and you have to go to somewhat hard to find stores called cannibus clubs. also, the script gives you license to grow, but you have to work your way up by doing god knows what to raise your quota from the initial 5 plant max up to 99 plants max. on the other hand, all you need is the number of the right doctor and a space $150 and you can get a script super easy, so while it may not be legal to the general populace, if you want it to be legal for yourself its pretty fucking easy. and the cannibus clubs sell GRRRREEEAAT weed. :) |
