Yes is the answer. There's a tale behind it but I can't be bothered to type.

from this article:
"For 10 years, beginning as a young teen, Stephanie Yerber had no periods and her ovaries did not produce eggs."
wtf? did she have periods before she was a young teen? did her ovaries produce eggs up until she turned 14 or what?

"obviously my music is better as it is more popular" - muse fan friend
"its wank and its pure noise" - radiohead fan friend
me - "i'm just ripping this music to my computer" rap listening friend "is that what you're calling it now?"
me pissed off in a heated debate - "it is factual that autechre are better than anything you have ever listened to" - dunno how stupid that is though, to me not atall

No, she said that since.
I'm sure music is just a sound that people like to listen to. Nothing else. It is no ideal that musicians have to attain before their music is properly called music. Having said that, autechre does do what I want music to do; and I feel that once you've heard that kind of music you don't get anything near as much excitement from other types. I think that's why it's so easy to be aloof when you listen to electronica.
Um, how about statements like: "I would rather eat my own shit than [insert referent here]". I know that statements like that are supposed to be hyperbolic, but still, it's almost always the case that you can reply with, "yeah, but wouldn't though would you?"

My friend after seeing the Village: "Man that was stupid, the monster wasn't even real! Now Scream was a scary movie."
My other friend while Kompakt's Total 4 is playing: "Can we listen to something that doesn't sound like a Volkswagon commercial?"
