I remember listening to Peel about a month before Confield
came out, and he just said "ok, this is Autechre" and he
blasted Parhelic Triangle, i just thought "i finally heard
it" - still my favorite track, ill never get bored of
Confield..

The only bit I 'really' like is the intro to Lentic
Catachresis, apart from that...I can't understand how anyone
can enjoy this...music. Fair enough if you do, but I just
don't get it, it's just random bullshit imho. And I
absolutely love most Autechre...probably the most pointless
electronic album I've heard

i don't think it's cool to like autechre.nobody of my
friends know their music and id they'd listen to confield
they'd think i have some mental problem.and if i say to
someone that i listen to autechre in the 99.9% of the cases
he doesn't know them and usually people don't like what
don't know.so i listen to autechre alone for my own plasure
while i walk alone or i'm here at home.

Question: Someone enjoy the melody in background of Track1
or I'm the only one who like it? I find that piece so deep
and emotional...

aeking:listening to confield gives me a lot of pleasure.i
think it's almost ambient.of course you can't ignore it but
the influence is on the dark atmosphear and the beats are
slow and aren't the most important thing on the mix like on
draft wich i think is very rithmic.

But this is my point and I feel strongly about it - if
you
really enjoy repeated listenings to Confield you are

* only pretending to like it to be cool, or
* brain damaged or on drugs, or
* not human

What a bullshit thing to say! I mean, it's understandable
that Confield is not your cup of tea, since it's
quite abstract and all, but people do enjoy Confield without
being on drugs/having a mental problem/pretending. I for one
adore this album, especially Cfern, Pen Expers and Lentic
Catachresis. It's not a problem at all that you don't like
Confield but when you express your opinion please just talk
for yourself.

I'm not angry anymore now ;)

Cfern is nice little track on Confield.

I play it for my tree frogs and it gets them groovy.

This album is a beauty in every way but way to intense for
me. Never made it to listen to it in one time. I usually
listen 3-tracks-@-a-time.
I guess ae was ready for the madhouse after being working on
this day in, day out.

At least it's better than Draft 7.30

Now THAT'S shit. Confield had some interesting melodies, but
Draft has LAME melodies and some kick-arse beats. But as a
whole I hate it.

confield i find to be hard work. but good work. at the
moment, draft makes little sense to me. but it makes a bit
of sense.....
