i like them.

its skits in idm albums that annoy me, especially if they
are in a completely different style than what the artist is
good at. tommib, goodnight jade

I hate those shorties. I listened to JP Buckle yesterday,
and I wished those 30 sec tracks to hell.

outnumber the good ones... oh god they're bad.

erm, sorry, forgive my stupidity...what's a skit? Is it like
those random short tracks in BoC albums or in Prefuse 73
albums?

unnecesary.

too much

'bit' in hangable auto bulb ep is a waste of time. as well
as the 'bit' titled track in drukqs

vinyl versions of hiphop albums often lack the skits. that's
cool, cause skits are genereally unnecessary.
but then again the skits on madvillainy for example make
sense, because they contain music and atmosphere.

the skits on the eminem albums are quite funny the first
time around, listening to a phone conversation or whatever,
but after that they just get really annoying! (not that I
listen to eminem!)

I like my albums to be more than just a CD, I like them to
be a whole experience - and that is what IDM/Trance albums
usually are. Tracks which flow into each other are superb to
behold...skits just get in the way!

well call me a cynicist but I just really detest the music
that imho really isnt very good and is just promoting gun
culture and yobbish culture to chavs. It really isnt helping
anyone.

They're getting themselves in trouble with the police and
look like twats to everyone who isn't one of them, people
like me on the other hand live in fear of being mugged all
the time or being 'happy slapped'. It's terrible that this
can be allowed to fester in our grossly overrided youth and
frankly, for a non-chav college student like myself, it's
really a sad sight to behold.

-_-

why are people refering to shoert 'interlude' tracks on
albums (idm or whatever) as 'skits'

skits are like little funny non musical tracks. usually like
people talking and playing characters or whatever. visual
skits are like what is on comedy shows.
see here

whats wrong with you people?

I thought it was funny just to let them keep embarrassing
themselves.

people keep recommending album after album to me...telling
me that its 'amazing' and 'better than anything hes ever
done' and 'nothing like his other albums'. Like a fool i
always buy them, and i always discover those people were
wrong. oh well.
