thanks, Opto. obara: it's just that it's unique in my experience of what messageboards look like. Any other board I've seen looks like a different pile of the same crap, whereas xlt has is nice to look at. Not that I will do it, or could do it, but I'd fancy my own forum like this where I would answer my own questions and ban my self every once in a while. |

this is the only site i've come to constantly throughout the years and i suppose aesthetics has a good part to do with and it's easy interface. we used to not even have a topic-based system and user names and passwords. the board sure has come a long way since then. yay xltronic |

i see the watmm style forum everywhere, its one of the reasons i dislike watmm, im so sick of the style they use... xlt has everything you could want. except the facility for a signature at the bottom |

Thats my opinion aswell, I don't really like most messageboards because the lay-out sucks, they all look the same to me. |

that's those Ikon Board / PHPBB / whatever thingies right? There are actually quite a few different "motors" but for some reason the people who make them have NO imagination and all make forums that look exactly alike... (vlari and aestethics: would you use your amazing skillz and check my mix for "fault?" It's further down on the mainpage) |

i agree - signatures are the absolute worst part of any given board. they make it so difficult to read. they're awful. |

It is a bunch of php and javascript thrown together haphazardly by tunemx. art by phobia. I should point out that thousands of bugs were discovered by jeroen, arguably the site's most important contributor. |

I actually cleaned up the html of xlt and made it 100% xhtml 1.0 compliant.. I sent it to phobs, but he didn't seem too enthusiastic... |

fuck really? I sent some javascript to tunemx to cut down the page size.. it was accepted. He's generally very very very nice. hell he was nice to me even when I was banned, probably part of the reason I was allowed back on at all. |

yeah.. I even exchanged the tables used for design and not tabular data into divs and all that jiggle. cut and fixed some of the graphics.. drastic reduction in page size, but phobs has been pretty busy lately, and I think it's him who does the html... tune does the javascript and php... |

yeah, it looked exactly the same.. or.. there were a few more pixels between the boxes on the left, but that was all... I didn't really think to check for the black dot, but I guess it was there... |

I see. hell you probably fixed a lot of things. Anyway the thing is probably a real wreck on the inside.. probably not too easy to just change things in and out. I mean shit, that glitch on the main index's middle column.. the fix is to delete like two extra words in one column specifier.. I emailed the 'fix' for that with no response. |

hahaha! that reminds me.. there was one thing I wanted to ask you at some time... I made random xlt thread thingie a long time ago, and I was trying to make another one quite like it, just that it would take random single posts from random threads and actually create a new thread with only random posts, but my php skills are limited... do you think it could be done?! |
