I am sure mods do their best... but sometimes is strange things that happen I dont know what tridenti do... but he was in the line of ban lately but what did ecnadniarb do really??? I ve checked all his posts and all I found was a comment in which his dislike to jedi was clear... but not really with disrespect... I dont think people can be banned for having an opinion that we dont like |

its true that nomods cannot be complaing all the time about every decision taken buy mods... that is true but sometimes it gets over the coherent line and people have the place to post about it I myself receive a lot of criticsm for my decisions at watmm... and I must respect that... one thing is to be insulted, but if people is just expressing their opinion a mod shall be partial enough to not be influenced by his personal feelings nomod people shall also know where the lines is, and if so they cross it, dont come later asking why they were banned in this occasion I doont think that is lee´s attitude... he has reasons to be stranged about the bann |

but its not. xlt was always friendly. now new mods have got all wierd and cross and poweriffic. it always worked before when unneeded threads were just closed with a little explanation. now posts are deleted, threads deleted, people banned by secret invisible ninja mods with bad tempers, mods have posted little but mockery and needless threats |

I see what you are saying. Although i do think that recently we have had some newer additions to this board (user wise) and some things looked a bit clustered. There is a season for everything and since the new mods came on i personally feel that there was a need for some brief and swift moderation. Its kind of like when you need to throughly clean your room and you end up moving the bed and dresser around. It looks a bit chaotic but over all things will end up tidy and better than before. I believe the lack of explaination of thread closure and banning comes from a point where perhaps the mods viewed it wasnt needed. In this case Tridenti was walking on "thin ice" and had a number of posters including moderators warn him and even offer advice when it comes to posting style. This occured over a peroid of time and throughout various threads. In the end of that particular situation it would be obvious to anyone who dwindles their hours away here that it was coming. In certain cases i think that various topics should be closed in certain instances but in the more questionable threads there should be some final imput by whoever closes it. Then again i suppose its not always entirely necessary if persay that: Thread title = shit and then the post is "fuck" and there is no more content. |

On the opposite side of this post i do have another viewpoint and understanding.... Shit threads (weather you agree or not) are mildly important. They provide an instance where all users can be vastly off topic and even insult the thread author providing comedy for all. Alot of the best threads on this board have absolutely nothing to do with braindance/idm at all. Its a story about someones life. Its a garbled post by a drunk man. Its a blantent insult at another member. In these posts and threads you will find the very clever and creative xlt members saying things that often time cause real life LOL's. I've sat here a many of time laughing to myself over silly photos and or comments and running jokes provided by a thread. Sure sometimes things seem stale but i rather think of it as a creative team having writers block. This board is chalk full of the best people. Thats what keeps me coming back! :) |

No offense but what are we getting to here? Could you have just not emailed this to all mods/admin? That could have saved time and been more private. I dont think the moderator should or feel as though they need to fess up. This decision was decided by a (or more than one) moderator and was supported by a number of members throughout various threads. Its only a temp anyways. Tridenti means well and seems like an honestly nice person. He just needs to settle down a little bit. Perhaps you could adivse him since you are the arbitraitor in this situation seemingly. |
