Shouldn't there be some sort of ban log, showing who was banned, when and why? I don't see what a temporary ban will achieve if the guy doesn't even know what he was banned for; he'll just come back and post the same inane crap. |

you're right, doesnt that make me a perfect example of why things used to work? my point is I always had experience of message boards being good for nothing but fun internet swearing and the occasional interesting piece of information accidentally drifting my way from some prick or other. at first xlt seems like a big mush of crap because its just this one forum which, back then at least, you couldn't make a bit of sense out of unless you spend way too much time here for a little while anyway. it turns out though its very much a joking friendly site, and people are happy to discuss things or help you out. people still jump down your throat sometimes and try to make you look like a dick but its not a huge problem. its not encouraging to see posts from mods like 'if anyone mentions melody in this thread i will ban them' and you cant even tell if its a joke. it doesn't inspire new members if the moderators can't even clarify whats going on. I think it's pretty apparent that explanations are needed because this is probably the future 10th thread to be closed asking about a strange bit of moderation. And thats not counting the ones I never new about because they have been erased. fact is, if i or others dont feel welcome or comfortable here they just straight up won't come anymore |

There are plenty here who would jump at the chance to blame Jedi Chris for this latest nonesense, but I think the problem is down to someone who is here a lot more frequently perhaps. And besides wasnt there a topic where people were criticising him, Ceri and Ophecks for not being around and doing anything about such topics and users. |
