yes but getting back to my point...what are the 'big name' artists? in my opinion they are afx/ae/sqp/µziq/vs/boc/plaid/vvm, but that list will vary according to different people (and im not just naming my fav bands, they are artists i consider big regardless of weather or not i like them). |

the moderators could simply use their intuition, I don't think it's that hard to guess which albums are going to get a lot of attention, either that, or when there are several clones of a certain topic, they could single one out and sticky it.. |

how long should they stay sticky for? there are bound to be a lot of releases that people want to talk about, and having 10 or so sticky topics would be silly, especially if they stay up there for as long as the current ones have been there. |

I think it would just be a case of using common sense, for instance, an untilted sticky would be a bit pointless now, but around the release time it would have been a good idea. |

so the thread will close soon after the release is, well, released? people like discussing untilted to this day! not everyone buys releases as soon as they are out; you could buy an album years after it comes out, and want to discuss it here... |

It's not that complicated. It's obvious which releases are going to be brought up repeatedly. If it was just a bit more organised so that the official grey font thread for these releases was started in time and stickied for a month or however long until its not needed anymore |

what we need isn't more stickies, but people who want to discuss a release should use those auto-generated threads from the discography. Of course, this will require a much more extensive discography, and at least one of the new mods should be allowed to fix that sucker up... either that, or make someone a dedicated discog fixer, like woofer with the polls.. also rumored and "fake" releases would have to have their own section. |
