She's 31.
We've been together almost 2 years.

ok.. it's hard to know what to say, but 2 years would be
pretty stable, so if it turns out she has breast cancer, I
wish you the best of luck with getting through it, man...
know some people who had the same troubles and their
relationship turned out pretty good, but they had it tough
for a while in the beginning...

God would weap at the destruction of one of her breasts...

I cannot see it in any realm of possibility however...she's
napping now- making her an ambient cd to smooth the process.
Ive got ben bova (Cyper 7) 'dream spiral' so far...

any other beta-wave inducing tracks come to mind?

theres always hemisync. but remember, beta-delta-alpha wave
music does not work unless heard with headphones.

She's so tweaked mentally I just want something that will
drown out the dogs fighting and let her rest...

Thats so awful. Stick by her if you find out she does have
it. My ex boyfriend (we had been going out for 3 and a half
years and broke up about a week ago :( ) is so disturbed by
diseases and anything involving medication that he once told
me if I got breast cancer, he would have to leave me (even
if we were married) because he wouldnt be able to handle it.

Yet another broken heart for Lindsey.

So stick by her, man.

"he would have to leave me" that doesn't make any sense to
me. he is so squeamish about diseases that he would abandon
you if you got sick? that's fucked up.

Your girlfriend has time on her side because she is. My mum
had a breast cancer scare and we were all worried for like 2
weeks, in the end it was it was very small and benign so
there was no threat. My mum is older than your girl so it
would be highly unlikely that your girlfriend's condition is
going to be worse than what my mum's was. Remember positive
thinking and whish you 2 all the best.

good luck with this

some statistics
The chance of developing invasive breast cancer during a
woman's lifetime is approximately 1 in 7 (13.4%)

According to the American Cancer Society, the chance that
breast cancer will be responsible for a woman's death is
about 1 in 33 (3%)

That sucks. But it could be much worse. If it IS cancer,
it's a very beatable kind. My grandmother had it and it was
pretty much a non-factor. Though it would suck a lot more
for a healthy young lass to lose a breast.

She's handling it better than I am. I feel like there is
this whole subtext to everything we do and say now and I'm
falling all overmyself being nice and accomodationg.

FYI- I would strongly discourage any of you from getting a
mamogram on a friday.

I'm normally not prone to hysteria, but when the boobies are
at stake I get a little weepy.

You all inspire me to be a better citiczen of this mb.

nature of the boobie, she may be up for showing them off.

My heart goes out to her. I had a hard time just dealing
with the possibility.

It is very treatable. Do your best to keep her positive.
