fav. of obscure tv

My current favorite obscure show is Wonder Showzen on MTV2.
It's this show that has a format for kids and has kids on
it, but is aimed for adults. It's got this "kid news
program" and the theme song is "Kids on the beat! Kids on
the street! Beat kids!!" I think it's hilarious.

Another show couple of shows that are basically unknown (and
were incredibly short lived) were Clone High and Freaks And
Geeks. Freaks and Geeks was just a good sitccom based in the
70s, while Clone High is a lot more imaginative. Its a
cartoon, and the premise is theres a high school full of
famous clones, such as Ghandi, Abe Lincoln, Joan of Arc,
George Washington Carver, etc etc.

Anyone elses? Anyone heard of the above?

Clone high sounds so improbably retarded that it must be
good.

There was a programme over here called "Lost" that was
wicked, it was only on for one series though. The basic
premise was that 3 teams were blindfolded and flown to some
godforsaken corner of the planet, then dropped off with
hella minimal supplies and told to make their way back to
london. Nobody i've ever met watched it, though.

hour, apart from this red sock rolled about the screen. it
was quite experimental.

show would comprise several healthy slices man.

freaks and geeks used to be on tv here.

christ.. :/

what i saw of it was really, really low-grade.

when i was a kid i liked johnny bravo, parts of it were very
funny in a stupid kind of way. also there was this
ultra-american kids program WHAM! that had lots of different
little bits in it, and there was one bit that was funny
(rest was fairly shit) called ACTION LEAGUE NOW! (can't
believe i remember that)

these fuckin action figures going around being crazy ass
mofos.

i'd possibly cringe if i saw it now, but at the time it
seemed pretty damn good.

nowadays i don't watch tv. tv is just.. worthless.

What was that sketch show with kenan and kel then? I
remember a sketch with a superhero that was lactose

Wonder Showzen is utter utter crap. It's about as creative
as a peice of dog poo. It's the most pathetic attempt I have
ever seen of trying to be cool. And that's pretty hard for a
tv show to do.

All MTV is doing by picking up that show is trying to cash
in on the trend that Adult Swim set.

It's absolute garbage.

Formula for Wonder Showzen: America Sucks + Cursing + Toilet
Humor + Kids (says all three of the previous)

Kablam was really good, used to show on Channel 5 at 6 in
the morning. Prometheus and Bob, thanks for reminding me.

Does anyone remember Attention Scum on BBC1 sometime in
2000, that was a really great weird show with zero budget.

I don't think a lot of people saw this, but I remember a
Gamepro show from WAY back in the day, hosted by JD Roth and
some pothead surfer dude named Brennan. It was pretty swell,
actually. They superimposed themselves into the games to
hilarious results, showed codes, endings, reviewed games,
previewed games... they used to show lots of Neo Geo games,
which I loved because at the time, I couldn't afford one
(they were like 500 bucks plus 200 per game).

JD was a true Renaissance Man, he also hosted a marvellous
show called Fun House which was sort of like Takeshi's
Castle for 10 year olds, and also an adult themed game show.
