Anime? I'd say Miyazaki (Studio Ghibli) films in general are absolutely phenominal. Watch Grave of the Fireflies, It must be the most saddened war-story ever.
Lain is cool. I want to try to make a music video of it. I was hoping to use some Bochum Welt. Right now the combination of the two seems fitting.
Of course my favourite is Macross Plus and the original Macross series. Eventhough they're not as intense in visual metaphor as most shows, they still hold their own.

Lain is cool. I have this vision of making a music video of Lain using Bochum Welt. Either "feelings on a screen" or "Fortune Green". Thought of using Computer Liebe by Kraftwerk. Music from Solvent and Skanfrom could also work.
Anywho my favourites are anything from Studio Ghibli (Nausicaa, Laputa etc...), the original Macross tv series and it's movie.

Studio Ghibli films are all amazing. Watch grave of the fireflies. Bring alot of tissues. On the other extreme is The Castle of Cagliostro.
My personal favourites are the Original Macross Tv series and it's movie "Do You Remember Love (The original uncut Japanese version only).
Lain is cool. I'm thinking of making a music video of it. Possible songs could be:
Bochum Welt:Feelings on a screen/Fortune Green Kraftwerk: Computer Liebe Skanfrom: Phon Sweet Phon/England Solvent: Solvent City/Frozen Food(remix)/a panel of experts
Comments on my selections anyone? ^_^

To me the best mini-series has to be "Golden Boy" its really funny its about this guy that basically is dicovering the world by his own but in the mean time he connects with these girls, man just watch it c´mon the man kisses a "bidé" (toilet) the bad part its only 6 episodes the good part it will came out on DVD.

It's funny with japaneese drawing styles: If you are waching a cartoon then it's called anime. If you press pause then it's called manga unless there is a naked girl in the picture then it's called hentai... Strange :/
