broken flowers - According to Jim Jarmusch, who is
dedicating his film to the French filmmaker Jean Eustache,
Broken Flowers is about "the lack of understanding between
men and women" and "desire, expectation. Expecting that
something you miss will happen, although you can't say what
it is that you miss so much."

just what i want! :)

is it open for general audience, or is it an invitation only
thing? i wouldn't mind attending that festival once in the
future..

Oh! New films by Cronenberg and Egoyan. That is Most Lovely.
I read yesterday that Cronenberg will be a guest at this
year's Stockholm Film Festival.

Invite only I think. Her work is paying for her to go (works
in tv), the lucky cow!

i wouldn't mind a job like that..not sure what your gf does,
but i'd be happy to get one of those jobs where you ge to
pick films for tv stations..travelling around the world,
attending festivals and buying films..nothing can beat that
:)

She works developing ideas for TV programs/films, doing
research for existing ones and occassionaly being an
'extra'. I've no idea what she's up to in Cannes. She goes
away reasonably regularly to film festivals/screenings etc.
