Yeah. They used to release some great new music. Jega, Bitt Meddler, Leafcutter John, Hellfish & Producer, etc etc etc, but they lost it somewhere. I think it was with Bulbous Paths combined with vsnares popularity, because he realized that by selling crappy breakcore music, they can pay the bills and release a lot more stuff at that.

I wouldn't consider MU a purely breakcore label by any stretch, although they have put out some things that have elements of breakcore (Hellfish, Snares, Shitmat, and more tangentially Chevron, Exile, 8FM...). But Mike puts out whatever he digs. Alot of the latest releases are more on the grime tip really, but then you have something like ed lawes too.
RE: Breakcore...its not THAT popular. Definitely not popular enough to put out in order to make money

I don't know.
Fuck I hate breakcore. I just think the label has gotten ahead of itself. They are releasing about 20 or 30 albums a year!. They have a more expansive discog than warp, and they have only been around a third of the length of time.

I definately disagree but R FOWE opinionaf s. Otto plays around in a lot of tracks in a humorous but not perfect way, but in certain tracks he holds nothing back and could slaughter anyone else on schematic. by the way, breeding dogs artificially selects ones with certain characteristics, ie. random ones from shuffled populations wouldn't result in mutation in a desired or specific direction.

He was here under the name Taoist Blockade. His name is Julian Fane.
Futhermore, I forget the arguement that we had about dogs and breeding, so I'm not going to think of an addition/argument to that statement. I have a lot of ideas about evolution/controlled mutation, and I don't want to set them all down in here right now. To much typing. Not enuf care :P

I like the album but I get the feeling it was a bit rushed. there are allot of those 1 min. ambient thingies. which can be cool and all but I feel those where put in to fill the album. there aren't enough "real" tracks imo. acect:dsect had a wide variety of things and I believe it is still his best. I'm wondering when his dvd will come out.

I like the ambient thingies. The rest of the album is really uninspiring. Asect:Dsect has a lot more variation, better sounds/textures, melodies, better beats, just overall - a:d sounds warmer and not as cold and mechanical as this one.
And yeah, that funkstorung remix is totally yawnable.
