haha - i picked 'one' as my quick dip into your material....
3 mins of sub-bass hum and i notice its a one hour track!
does it go places from there?

then on to freshmint - which does the job - i liked the
moogy leads a lot > and the breakdown in that synth sound @
2 mins is 'clever' :)

then i went onto toyshop - because i love toy sounds and yes
this is the track.... really good - my taste this one :)
good job done...........

did you master with t-racks?

no, i've never heard of t-racks.

'One' is more of a concept 'album' i.e the most minimal of
minimal minimalism. i.e its:

one hour
one track (4 parts, will put as seperate tracks if i release
on a real format)
one note
one synth

glad you liked the other stuff.

so how did you master it? recorded on reason and compressed
at output?

do you master your tracks - i.e. apply a finishing
eq/compression/limiting?

not really no.if i do i don't usually know what i'm doing.
if i start releasing professionally, i will get an old mate
of mine to do that for me as he has an HND in sound
engineering. i find that stuff so tedious and boring tbh

fair enough - it kind of excites me - i've got some tracks
that i thought were dull and dead - gone through a mastering
process and the bass is tight and punchy and the hi eq is
tingling and the track is revived :) thats when it pays to
work that through....

just keep a version of your tracks where you have'nt
over-compressed or pushed the signal too near the ceiling -
that way a sound engineer will have room to work on the
sound without losing all the dynamics

the most minimal of
minimal minimalism
that's the truest true. i'm just 5
minutes before the end of this and it really is
minimalistic. impressive.
what inspired You to make it ? is it the kind of stuff You
often listen to ? i mean i listen to "avantgarde" or
minimal from time to time [compare minimalistic parts of
"the ghost sonata" album by Tuxedomoon] but i'm not really
into releasing it. i sometimes play and experiment with one
sound but it usually ends up as a regular electronic track
with beats :)

first, thanks for listening to it all, i'm sure not many
people will :-)

i dunno, i've been big into minimalism & ambience for a long
time now, so yeah i gues i'm inspired by personal taste a
lot, but with this i wanted to create a concept that was a
bit of a different take on the genre.

For the most part I couldn't hear anything, it's really
quiet and 96kbps probably doesn't help. And the pitch was
all over the place, you can't claim it's one note and then
pitch bend. I pretty much didn't like it, although this
pulsating bit in the last 15 minutes is cool... maybe it's
just me but this part seems to have a bit of HF noise that I
can't quite hear but it's giving me a headache.

PS Freshmint is nice but the kick is all fuzzy

Have you got any other longer ambient/minimal pieces
available ? So i could compare ?

thanks for the feedback. ok thats a fair point i guess on
the pitchbending.... but it 'was' just one note, if you see
what i mean... as for the quality, its still massive at 40mb
even at 96kps so it probably doesnt help. no, its not my
best work by far, but i took a chance doing something
different imho. i'm amazed people still like freshmint
actually, i made that nearly 4 years ago i think....

obara i've never done anything that long before but
you can here some more minimal/ambience on the site ( you
might like 'resonate') and also this track and also
this track
