yes they do... it's always the same - when it does actually work - you better don't try to format it.
i had to - me performance was about 25 % of what he was able to do. so i typed in the magically format c:
now - the first problem... i bought a new wireless keyboard for my pc - and waht happened ? the receiver doesn't work in dos !! haha isn't that funny ? really cool...
now i had to go to my friend to ask for his keyboard. the i installed the rest - of course about 2 hours of switching cd's and stuff.
as if that would be enough - no, 20 minutes later i had the first porn popups and other stuff - so antivirus, firewall and spyblocker had to be installed too.
now - the next thing was really funny - i wanted to install the program i use to download pictures from my cell phone - and of course - a bug comes out of nowhere - CRITICAL ERROR - DIE STUPID MOTHERFUCKER !!
so i got to the internet - downloading a new version - but of course the one i have is the only one which WOULD actually work with my cell phone - because it was the one installed before...
FUCK !!!
so i try and try and downloaded about 5 different versions of the soft. nothing does work - and now the really funny part - i cannot even deinstall it !!
CRITICAL ERROR - DIE MOTHERFUCKER !! and i cannot uninstall the fuckin prolific driver for the fuckin usb cable.
and now i can fuck a fuck and fuck windows of my fuckin computer and fuckin destroy it with a fuckin 10 punds hammer.\
shit !!

Wireless keyboards suck! I had one and disconnected it a couple hours after I turned it on.
Macs are for people who don't want to learn how to use their computer.
I have a PC, and on it, I have about 300 different music programs that people on macs can't use ;)

In the 3-4 years i've had my computer, I haven't had to format it ever.
My conclusion: Computers are only as smart as the person using it.

It's funny cause there's tons of file-extensions on macs, and if I need a two button mouse or get tired of control+click, I'd buy one, but I really don't.

Oh, and conserning not learning how computers work; that's the stupidest fucking argument I've ever heard in the mac vs pc war. I admit that it's easy to use from the get-go, but after 5 years I know the ins and outs of my Mac quite well. So, no hours tearing your hear out figuring out how the damn thing works and almost none hours spent on maintenance.
And woohoo, good for you and you 300+ programs. I make do with 3. I still get the job done.
Still, different people - different computers. If your happy with your's, that is fine with me. But I won't trade my mac for a pc, ever.

the days before cell phones and computers weren't soooo bad. E-mail is cool/direct etc but i miss getting snail mail from friends. i just uninstalled instant messenger, b/c its just fucking annoying and is the cause for many problems. Cell phones are the same way too, its nice b/c you have it whenever you need it, but it gets annoying when people call and are like "dude............." wtf are you calling me for? i think i'll just buy a land line or some birds to fly my messages around...smoke signaling coming soon. and as i proof read what i wrote, i wonder if i'm becoming the unibomber 2...nah.
PS, just remember computers don't suck. they just do what people tell them too...and people suck.

the last time I formated my pc, I had to reformat it right 10 mins after the first internet connexion.
It was because so much viruses and worms landed in my computer in those little minutes.
It's because I have (and will always have) the simple windows xp without service pack.
One time I downloaded SP1 but was unauthorized to install it... guess why ? but fuck ! it was 130 MB at 6ko/s !
But hopefully I learned about firewalls and I choosed ZoneAlarm.
The incredible thing is that it stopped more than 96000 "intrusions" and 25000 "high-rated intrusions" so far...
there are mostly comming from my country and I see all the different towns names but also from any country with extension like .tw .dk .br...
there are also .com and I used to receive some adverts directly trough a strange "message display service" before I had that firewall.
So I'm impressed that with all that shit around in computer world, they still work

i've got an annoying problem with my mac. but it would only take some scripting to fix it. i think that macs are easier and more friendly to use in all situations, not only if you aren't too good with computers.
but i need more memory to play world of warcraft!!

When mac users get smug it really bugs me, cause their computers are more expensive, less powerfull and less usefull than a decent pc. If your pc is built like crap, has a bunch of invalid registry entries and has conflicting software, of course its going to get messed up. A little maintenance, and care makes them work beautifully. Just stay away from too many media players that argue over which program gets to autoload your mp3's and wav files, and don't install any programs that might send your personal information to collector companies and you should be fine. As well, don't spend time trying to run stuff that your computer is not capable of running. Causes your equipment to burn out faster that way. I don't like the idea of having to buy a new computer just to run a new opperating system that is needed for [insert powerfull new program here].

I wish pc's looked like this!!!
I don't really really care... but the mac user smugness somewhat unjustified. As pc's become closer to macs, their interface becomes more user friendly and more stable, and as macs come closer to pc's they are becoming harder to use and crash more often.
I haven't had one crash on this computer. I leave it running weeks at a time, and the only problem being it starts to slow down after being on for more than 8 days. I have no compatibility problems. I have had it for about 10 months now, and not a single complaint (except for getting a virus last week, but I desolved that bug quickly).
