I really liked #2, so if you dont like that, you prolly wont
like any of the rest, except for 10.

5 isn't that spectacular, i dont know why everyone loves it.

These aren't old tracks. I don't think. Not from rumors of
his feverish analogue purchases and vibert interviews.

Analord has injected some fun back into IDM. God knows it
needed it.

I've minidisced 1-7 and really like most of them. When the
first analord megamix is out you'll see where all the
greatness lies... after all they are 12" records designed
for mixin'. They got their onw flavour and vibe to them i
reckon with subtle little off-kilter breks and bleeps here
and there.

...i ain't even heard 10 yet....

except for vol 10, analord 07 is the best in the series so
far IMO. If you don't like the a-side (lisbon acid),
something is wrong with you.

Allright :) But it does "sound" like it is...

Analord is really simple catchy 303 grooves and melodies
with minimal but effective drum work without the pretensions
of ultra-complex seriouso editing and digital filtering. The
blippy bloppy intro to Halibut Acid and the simple but
growing melody at the start of Crying In Your Face are both
examples of what I believe is fun, enjoyable tracks.

By the way I cannot stand v/vm. Very cheap headache inducing
music to me.

I just can't help but wonderful if the analord tracks are
all real time or multitracked and sampled.

I agree that I'm not into about 60% of Analord but there are
some gems. Phonatacid defo warrants a few listens...

Analord is all about the melodies. Dancy too, i suppose. If
you are looking for something more 'complex' why dont you go
buy a few Vsnares CD's along with Confield. You'll be much
cooler because everyone will think you 'get it'.
