i want a fucking explination for this.
its 9.30am in the uk
warp should be keeping their loyal N.A. followers up to
date.
it seems wierd that this could have anything to do with the
earlier us visa problem. but maybe. maybe its a canadian
thing. but then what about toronoto and mtl.
i guess it could be a schedualing thing or an argreement
thing.
but i mean really.

haha i was just listening to buck65 all evening.
hey i just saw your picture of you and beans in the other
thread.
hes a pretty awsome guy to just talk to hey?
heres a photo of him at a popmontreal after party. he was
eating a bag of chips and just chillin'

the guy is a corporate whore. i mean, selling every track
off your album, then getting a hotel to sponsor your new
album????? besides, i wouldnt know about his early works,
i'd only heard his last three albums cos theyre on telly
constantly.

why buck 65 has decided to do a show with this cunt is
beyond me.

yeah i think its pretty wierd.
i assume hes just the opening act?
i bet its a record label thing, ill put money on moby being
on whatever that big label is that signed rich a few years
ago.
it seems like a wierd choice, but something that a major
label would do. like moby fans wouldnt much be interested in
buck65.
actuallylast time he played here, there was some dork
opening for him, singing country music, which i thought was
wierd. i actually asked buck about it and he said that it
was the label. that they had both recently signed to that
label, and that the label for some reason thought that
buck65 fans would like that other guy.

have tickets. i know its general admission so it doesnt

20/21

i'm pretty sure there has been some explanation... it has to
do with them not being able to get visas right away for the
USA... i'm sure they'll get them eventually, but i'm
guessing it's cut into the number of stops they'll have on
the tour...this is all just speculation based on the very
little that i have heard about them not being able to get
VISAS...

hmm... "visas" really didn't need to be capitalized... my

Points: 1562 Status: Regular | Followup to DeadEight: #01583055

yes. i am sure there is an explination. i just think its
odd. look at where van lies in the lineup

Thu 12 Detroit. Masonic Temple Theatre
Fri 13 Chicago. Metro
Sat 14 Minneapolis. Ascot Room
Tue 17 Vancouver. Commodore Ballroom
Wed 18 Seattle. Neumos
Thu 19 Portland. Berbatis Pan
Fri 20 San Francisco. Mezzanine

maybe they just wanted to extend their 2 day break before
the show or soemthing. theyre pussing it pretty far.

it seems wierd that the visa timing would have had anything
to do with this.
i guess we must remember that other shows much be
cancelled/rescheduled and we dont know about it yet.

fuck me. if only i was a year older i would have carried out
my plan to see them in portland along with the other good
shows there: the books, prefuse (with beans) and there was
some other shit too even

actually looking at the schedule.
the 2 day break before the van show is the only break at all
aside from 1 day before the dallas show.
man thats intense. maybe the do have to do something like
fly back to the uk to do something, and the best option was
to do it then so that only one show would be cancelled.

well i guess we will see.

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2005-05-02 03:09 [#01583062]

They very well could have scheduled a different venue (they
do this when advance ticket sales don't meet with
expectations planned). The commadore is a fucking swank
venue, and its super expensive too, so I would understand
why. If they have canceled the show totally, though, that
would suck ass. I liked the last show of theirs I saw. I
wanted to see them again and try to talk to them.

The commador doesn't actually have numbered seats. They have
tables, with chairs. Its more like a bar with a huge
dancefloor and great accoustics.

Points: 1562 Status: Regular | Followup to Taxidermist: #01583062

hmmm.
yeah about the seats, no i know that the seat number has no
bearing on the actual venue. i just meant like "oh oh who
has the most numerically low ae ticket"
i guess if its just moved that would be great. and i guess
about now is when they would do it, like tickets have been
on sale long enough to gauge a vauge sense of it

offline Taxidermist from Black Grass on 2005-05-02 03:13 [#01583065]
Points: 9958 Status: Lurker

I haven't bought my ticket yet. I was planning on it a few
days before, because I was sure the commadore wasn't going
to sell out on autechre. If they are going to opt for a
venue like sonar (which has god awfull accoustics), then I
should go about getting a ticket now!

Same. It was going to be like $300 all told with train
tickets and hotel to go to Vancouver though. Anyone been to
Berbatis Pan in Portland? Do they ALWAYS check ID at the
door? Seems like it's more of a bar/restaurant. Probably
do. Portland is like an hour and a half drive, might be
worth trying to slip in. God, why does this have to happen.

I don't think Warp has much to do with the bookings and
tours of the acts on the label - sure, they will put up a
list of dates and venues, but that's about as far as it
goes.

in short - they're not responsible really.
