He has a cool haircut, wears sandals, and goes to a Greek Orthadox Church.
His music is mysterious and powerful, and is a lot like dark ambient. Without any synths (so I guess it's nothing like it then, but you know what I mean.)
While you're at it, have a listen to Avro Part too. His stuff is more mathematical and "pure", and helps me to get to sleep while giving me dreams of angels and gothic Cathederals.

Yup, I am Hungarian and I love the culture and the folk music there, so Bela Bartok is a favorite composer of mine.
My favorite work by Arvo Part is "Passio". I probably prefer his stuff to Tavener's, although his "The Lamb" is really sublime minimal stuff.
The Christian connotations don't really bother me at all.
