autechre (and not only)

ummm "the philosophy of autechre" was actually a piss take,
and I couldn't believe people got angry over it when it was
so obviously absurd and ridiculous.

This is about the only other place to discuss Autechre apart
from WATMM, and so I don't mind these threads since it's
fair enough considering what this messageboard is about.

I'd like to see more Squarepusher threads, there's a lot of
stuff and techniques to talk about regarding his music, as
well as his strange interviews.

dog_belch, I made that thread and it was a pisstake. Anyway,
I've told you before-put me on ignore. It'll be better for
both of us.

..oh.. and the "atuechre and shapes" or whatever that one
was called, and the fact that each of their live concerts
will have each their thread.

lalalala
philosophy of autechre
I don't know...

Actually, I stand corrected mr.dog Belch.

I thought he was refering to my pisstake "philosophy of
autechre" thread.

My mistake.

if you want an idea of their technical abilities, have a
look at these interview, you don't have to read it all, the
pictures speak for itself, but it is an interesting read

heheh.. I don't have anything against autechre (I wouldn't
order an album, but I'd buy one if it (in vinyl form) was
standing in the shelves)... it just seems to me their sound
isn't that special...

It's only idiots that are like that. There are probably
loads of people here that really like autechre but are happy
to just listen without making the worst threads in the
history of the internet about it.

dariusgriffin: i lost my faith in humanity too but not
because of messageboards... ' _ -

back to the topic: Autechre didn't change my life, i
discovered a new sound thanks to them and Warp records in
general but it never felt to me like a brand-new vision of
music. i think music never was just radio-friendly pop to
me, i was raised on classical and opera from time to time
which i never liked that much and silence most of the time,
i never listened to the radio that much, i discovered music
through the internet and pretty late etc... dunno, maybe i
had "natural" habilities to like weird stuff from the
beginning (i'm not saying i like every music from first
listen, but sometimes "easy" music can be hard to get into
for me and "hard" music can be easy to get into for me - or
so it seems.) well, the first band i recall finding
really weird was Coil, and i discovered them when i
only knew like... 10-20 bands... so that set my "weirdness
standards" pretty high from the beginning i guess : )

why would you bother to enter a thread if you know its going
to anger you? why would waste your time on a so-called
autechre fan boi thread? this is a message board, people
like autechre and this is their fan site - whay do you think
is going to happen here? i say fuck you to the people who
have something negetive to say about liking an artist and
showing it. who cares if you talk about it too much just
dont listen to us.

it's something about threads you know suck... you can't keep
from entering them.. there's also this "hahaha! what the
fuck is the claim THIS time?!" thing...

..and maybe there'd be something interesting in one
of these once... even though I'm not everly excited about
autechre, it could be interesting to hear about their
techniques and gear and stuff.. this neverending "oh-ah-ah!
abstract beat-patterns!" when it's all 4/4 or 8/8 (or
16/16.. you get the drift) gets on my nerves.

This one, with the title, could be about some technique
autechre and other artists use in making music...

horsefactory: yes, I am aware of that, and I guess I should
have written "well.. the people who really like autechre
and make lots of annoying threads about 'the
philosophy of autechre' [...]
"

and you. Could you make ONE thread called [elusive]
autechre and add it to your fav+ and then you can make posts
in there each time an individual track makes you orgasm
instead of an inidvidual thread?!
