ok.

i reread my original post. maybe it's hard to tell if i'm
being honest, or if i'm being sarcastic. so to clarify, i
really do think that in sides is an amazing album. obviously
it's a little silly to say "recommend me something which
meets all these criteria", but that's what i did. my
intentions were:

to say "i like in sides" and maybe strike up a conversation
with others who like this album, or maybe those that don't.

to start a bit of a discussion on where electronic music
was, where it is now, and where it is going. something that
i like to think about is the way that some music is timeless
and remains enjoyable even after a lot of time has passed
since its release. for me personally, i still enjoy
listening to in sides as much as i did when it was first
released.

if you think that this topic is boring, trite, stupid, not
worth discussing, or whatever, that's fine.

i totally forgot about the real responses to my post. i'll

In my opinion Leftism isn't very similar to In Sides. It
doesn't flow as an album nearly as well.

B12 - Electro-Soma might meet most of your criteria.

i listened to samples of leftism. it's alright, but i don't
think it's really that similar to in sides. thanks for the
recommendation tho.

handoverthecart: yeah, i have electro soma. it's a good
album.

:)

no, leftism isn't similar. but AT THE TIME ie, 1996 it was
considered seminally important within the underground scene.
oh dear, i sound like an arsebeak but fuck it i'll carry on
hopefully you haven't noticed. leftisim is a great album,
also second toughest by underworld. but there is loads i can
push your way. if you can be more specific it would help me.

i'm sorry, are you referring to in sides or leftism?

Genrally could we just say Detroit, as that's clean and not,
you know, effects drenched stuttering VST overload. Or, umm,
Luke Slater's "Four Cornered Room", I like that album. Carl
Craig's "Land cruising". These are three proper thoughs I've
had on this subject. Which I'm not all that clear about.

Leftism is great if you can strip out the cackhanded
toasting. I'm a big fan of the other one, too, what's it
called.... aaaaaghhh... with the samurai... I've got the
fucker somewhere..... anyway "Swords" great track.

*
don't check out faithless. they're gash.
don't read oper4tor's posts, he's a consistant fool.
*
do recycle.
do greet your postman with the personal touch, it's a lonely
job. they always appreciate it.

you could try future sound of london dead cities if you want
a good album from a similar era to insides.

shut it shithead. faithless made one of THE most influental
dance albums of the late 90's and none of the music you're
listening to today would sound the way it does without their
influence.

faithless have always played it safe from day one. their
music is good, but not influential, or genre defining. they
are nothing special. they are so conservative in their
style.
