What the fudge happened to this site? Earlier they refused
to add releases that werem't electronic "enough", and now
you can find Nirvana and Pearl Jam over there???

I thought it was intended to cover all music?

Yeah, they have realized that dancemusic is not enough, and
have opened for submissions in rock and jazz too. And about
time I say.

No way. They were fucking purists two years ago and refused
a Sigurd Ros-release, because it was not electronic enough.

Oh. Ok. I guess it's about time, but I'm glad I'm not a mod,
when tens of thousands of rock albums are gonna be included.

Hell yeah. Kudos to anyone who takes up the challenge of
moderating all those submissions. I hope they have recruited
some people with knowledge beyond click-house 12" from
Berlin though.

the mods are quite often twats there. I submitted an album
and they told me it was wrong. When I informed them I had
the actual CD in my hand when I typed it up they said I was
a liar. I offered to take a picture of myself with the CD
and they said I was being stupid. I called them a twat. they
didn't respond.

they're still a twat.

i guess you hadn't noticed that they added a "rock" section,
and even if you pull up ediscogs (the strictly electronic
database) the recent additions will include rock.

i've had my share of annoying/contradictory feedback from
moderators at discogs but on the other hand anyone who's put
in charge of quality control of a user built database will
always seem like a petty hall monitor...

i too have dislike for the discogs mods, like giginger, they
tell me i'm wrong even though i'm holding the particular
release in my hand!!!
