we caught him from the streets, he was almost dead...
constipated and without even being able to breath... he was
all the day like crying and having no stability while
walking... but by miracle he lived! but keeped some of his
strange symptomes (as a part of his personality) : his right
eye is all day crying and he have a funny way of walking and
jumping (its like he is stoned all the day...). actually he
is a happy, cute and funny cat. the end. :)

aren't terrapins (sp?) a bitch to look after?

I had a turtle once, and it got sick within a few days.
Lizards are much easier. :)

i post psychological portrait instead of image files:

my german shepherd lives far from me now. in my native town.
I can't post its pic. From memoirs: it liked the music I
listened to. Didn't mind lying under the extremely loudly
working tape deck and sometimes howled quietly when I was
playing piano (maybe that's because i suck at playing piano
or because it was detuned a little)

but the small beautiful parrot, who lives at the same pace
where the dog lives, far away from me - it doesn't like
music, tv and noises at all. It is a very calm creature,
which can produce VARIOUS extremely beautiful sounds with
its "organs of speech". When it wants to sleep (~21:00), it
starts yelling at us if the tv is turned on and if somebody
is playing piano.

they managed to get along with the dog after a long period
of misunderstanding and considering each other rather a
beautiful small piece of flying meat (dog thought of parrot)
and a nice warm mild piece of wood to sit on (parrot thought
of dog)

yes. don't laugh please.

dog is called Geena.
parrot is called Petya. This is a male russian name, but the
parrot later appeared to be female. extremely beautiful
creature.

Red-eared sliders are ok pets. Quite rough compared to other
turtles I think. More lively than land-turtles too I think.

oh Ok. Quite an attractive idea, owning one of those. How
long have you had yours?

All these creatures are getting expensive, though. The
lizards seem to eat anything, but the rest need a constant
supply of crickets which can become a pain.

I want house geckos to let loose. Do the fecalate though?
A pussy would be nice enough but it better be a nice one or
else I will have to skin it and get a new one.

Late answer but I've had the turtle for eight years now.
Ordinary turtle food from a pet-shop is quite expensive
(cheaper in the UK, I guess), but red-eared-sliders eat
almost anything. Fruit and vegetables and I also give it
some of the leftovers when I eat seafood.

Incredible, a similiar story with a bird is happened to me
too, I found him in a street near my home, he was fallen
from his nest, he couldn't fly, so I took and brought him in
my house. After a week he learnt to fly and he is gone.
