the least good of all Mr Bungle albums in my opinion.

the self-titled and Disco Volante are genius, among my
favourite albums ever... California could (almost?) have
been from a different band. it feels anormally
normal
, and somehow makes me a little sick (it's hard to
explain really why - like a photograph with unnatural smiles
you don't know whether they're just looking weird but really
are sincere, or hiding some wicked thoughts). somehow this
can be interesting, but even when you're used to it, it
doesn't have as much to offer as the other two...

at least i feel it this way.

Agreed. I do enjoy some songs off California, Sweet Charity
is nice. I enjoy Self-titled and Disco Volante a lot, don't
think much of Patton's recent output besides Fantomas
though.

Heh... california really does stand out of most other music
like this. I can't really get into somebody who seems to
need to sing like a coyote on crack with a strand of razor
wire caught in his throat cause its not fun, but california
is great.

DV helly yeah. wtf did i just type!?

well yes i think California was a weaker record if you
compared it to Disco. DV is really off the chart insane. i
flogged Calif. they don't have any other records beside the
1st one, no?

i don't really think California is weaker. it's just
different.

i still prefer Disco Volante, but California is awesome.
never fails to cheer me up.
