I quite forgot about him, he's ace. I loved Alice. I forgot
about the Brothers Quay as well. They're ace. Institute
Benjamenta, ooooh.

i dig Svankmajer somewhat... i think the only feature i saw
was Little Otik, which really seemed to drag quite a bit,
but a lot of his shorts are way cool... and yeah, Brothers
Quay are absolutely amazing... see their stuff if you can.

I got Alice, Faust and Conspirators of Pleaseure and im
willing to trade em for other Svankmejer material.

I would love to see Little Otik but I heard its his worst
movie and the most commercial of his works, its even pretty
mainstream (of svankmejer standards).

I loved Alice, maybe the best movie I ever seen in my life
in that gengre (surrealist, abstract gengre) except maybe
Eraserhead.

I'm a fan!

Here's a story:

browsed through a big pirate movies site, a pile of shitty
movies, in general. And somehow i saw Little Otik in there.
I decided to get it and was very happy after.

I've got a lot of his films, maybe all full-feature (haven't
got time to see Lunacy yet) - all seemed very interesting to
me.

In Alice it was not very good that some characters from the
book are missing, like the Cheshire cat, but the White
Rabbit is so cool that it was enough for me to like the
movie very much.

I don't think Little Otik is commercial or in any other way
bad.

lunacy was fucking weird. Youtube has some good shorts of
his. Check out the breakfast, dinner, lunch themed shorts.
Those are pretty fucking awesome. His animation is awesome.
Darkness/light/darkness is on there as well. I did enjoy
little otik. Its pretty cool.
