since there's no search, let's appreciate marumari right
here and now. it's been four years since his last album,
but i've just heard his second, third and fourth albums in
the last year. listening to the wolves hollow right now,
what a great album. wobbly melodies, distorted vapors,
churning butterflies...

in a word, supermogadon...

what kind of music is this?

it's true: the wolves hollow is a great album.

ugh, most people would unfortunately say idm, but i think
marumari's got a lock on his own sound. very catchy and ear
friendly, warm basslines and occasional beeps, but lots of
strange buzzes and twists and turns, mostly midtempo.
little snatches of female vox here and there, but filtered
and curved. wobbly melodies, distorted vapors, churning
butterflies, etc.

download "baby m" from "supermogadon" for a taste...

supermogadon is dope and isnt there some freebies on the
remix disk?

isn't there some freebies? ummm...

there are no marumari tracks on the remix album, except for
the audio for the included "baby m" video.

there are additional remixes included as mp3 files,
though...

i'd highly recommend the casino versus japan rmx, though i
know isnie doesn't like casino versus japan much...

listening to baby m right now. very nice.
the casino vs japan remix is not so good imo. it's so
typicaly CvsJ. just put loads and loads of reverb over
everything.

Marumari's website has expired, and news of a new album has
come and gone. He's married and has a son now. You can see
them in the second picture down. Josh, Sasha, and Aven. Superm
and WolvesH are great.

Yesa, I think Wolves Hollow is his best.

"Wolves Hollow" is indeed an excellent
album.. and it also has some lasting
qualities.. i'll have to re-listen to this
one.. and it may need some dusting.. @_@

wtf, the site must have just expired in the last few days, i
was just there recently. it hadn't been updated for a year.
apparently he has abandoned the music career which is a
shame...

the carpark website is woefully lacking info...

i knew isnie wouldn't like that cvsj remix, but it's one of
my all time favorite tracks...

not odd considering I had a cloaking device set on that
reply.

Glad to know it worked.

pathscrubber is awesome, i've been listening to it while
constructing these shitty play on word items

two and a half years since the last update at his site...

glad to see people are still discovering his tunes.

Hmmm, I have pathscrubber. It was really underdeveloped.
Some moments where it take off and it goes nowhere. By the
end i was none the wiser to it's existence.

i agree, except for "birch bark forest." it's an unofficial
release, still in a demo state and not the best introduction
to marumari...

i'd shoot you a track or two but regrettably i'm at work.
you can hear one of my favorites, "baby m" here:

marumari myspace

not the four tracks i'd pick to showcase, but it's a
fan-created page...
