i think it's the 'seashore' sound and the major tonality that makes it sound 'gay/new age'. the cheesey-sounding piano doesnt help. it is a well put together track though, with clarity between instruments but not to my personal taste - not dirty enough :) |

I really like it, very well put together, builds and falls nicely, polished in a good way, smooth without being mawkish, I'm going to keep it in my XLT folder (oh yes). The only thing I'd say, which I think a couple of other people may have said similar things, is that that piano does sound "cheap" whereas the rest sounds "rich and fullsome", and that aspect does slightly upset the balance. But otherwise a big wooah, nice job. |
