In your opinion which is the more commercial AFX release?
I say "Powerpill Pacman", it's very nice, funny but also
very easy.
I never sayd who powerpill pacman was Richard D. James, the
style is totally different.

Are you all really sure who powerpill pacman was Richard?!?

WooÆ’er

it depends on what you mean by commercial. the most
commercial tracks were probably windowlicker and come to
dady. it got massive airplay on radio on tv....

The most commercial release has to be girl/boy EP. Not
because of any hype, but the songs. Loads of people in my
school love milkman.

Its a goat that has fainted.

True fact that when you shock a goat, they faint. Then wake
up a few minutes later.

milkman is probably hip in school-circles because it says "i
would like to suck some milk from the milkman's wife's tits"
kids love that kinda *hehehaha* gig - i love it too - that
and beetles

depends on the terms.
windowlicker was very played on radio and tv... like come to
daddy.
but there are some tracks that are really easy for everybody
to like them such as goon gumpas... anyway such is the
genious of aphex that he is over the meaning of comercial or
underground... he is just great music... no matter the
style, no matter the technic he uses he just makes the best
music everytime... I am in love with him... yes i just
discovered my homosexuality as i want to make love to
richard...LOL (i hope my girlfriend didnt read this)

Its merely an evolution defect which means that when a wolf
comes along and scares them, the faint, which makes them
fair game for the wolf.

However, the sheep, when it sees a wolf, i bleets, and legs
it, meaning that it doesnt get eaten, making it more evolved
than the goat.

Good science that.

nacmat: windowlicker is so overplayed. And that is the
reason we all want to have sex with him.

um..okay nacmat..
but annyhow...I have to agree girl/boy is the most
accessible...my wife doesn't like it as much..just because
of that...and she is a pretty good gauge for this
accessibility of stuff

The must commercial release of RDJ was this tune of a Tv
commercial for Tires... or shoes, maybe... Or was that for
Kukeezz?
anyway He had a bunch of bucks for this, for sure.

I thought Windowlicker or Come To Daddy were the most
commercial.

yes we mostly think that but we also think there are some
certain tracks that having not that comercial, are easy to
asimilate by the masses because they sound melodic...such as
goon gumpas

COME TO DADDY

offline Ubik from United States on 2002-02-15 00:46 [#00088836]
Points: 662 Status: Lurker

why is Windowlicker commercial??? they would never ever
play it on the radio in the US. everybody i've ever played
it for thought the song was unlistenable and fucked up.

Come to Daddy did actually get some airplay at the time.

Polynomial-C to me sounds like the most presentable to a
mainstream public. they could play it at the Gap or
Abercrombue and Fitch.

Powerpill Pacman was made in the style of techno of the
time. it was a parady using pacman samples.

RDJ has shown a great sense of humour with his songs, but
some of you don't seem to get the fun.

Surely "Can't Get You Out Of My Head" is his most
commercial. It was huge in Britain.

Oh, hang on, I'm thinking of Kylie Minogue. Sorry.

I know in America the most easily available afx albums is
the Richard D. James album. I have yet to seea store
without it. I've never seen the girl/boy ep in America, at
least not brand new...

yeah the RDJ album is even here in Newfoundland... :)

but the most accessible song in my opinion would have to be
Alberto Balsalm... I can't imagine someone not liking that
song...

I used to have a goat...when I was a kid..

Had to milk the fucker everyday...

Not really sure what my parents were thinking of but I guess
it honed my masturbation skills...;)...

Never saw it faint tho....wish I knew they did that; my
childhood would have been tons more fun with a fainting goat
as a pal...
