..has now opened.. you can buy the new cd there and some
other cd's of solo projects by Nick Zammuto and Paul de
Jong, some t-shirts and some art-objects by Zammuto.

all shippingcosts are $2, whatever you order, so I just
ordered that 3-cd-set of Zammuto's older stuff and the new
The Books album, for the total of 30 bucks, which would be
the store-price for just the The Books album here (well, a
few euro's more..).

the pop-up windows do tend to go a bit weird and scrollbars
disappear, in which case you'll have to copy the URL out of
properties (which I had to do).

I do like the idea of more of the money going directly to
The Books. :)

thebooksmusic.com (the shop is under the "Garage" button)

your post made me realize that i've had
thebooksmusic.com/old bookmarked for a while now and i've
been waiting for the shop to open so i can get that 3cd
Zammuto release. Paul de Jong sent me a copy of The
Loneliest Road and some discs of unreleased solo material.
these guys are total geniuses.. can't wait for the shows.

I can, though without really wanting to.

I've never heard them, but maybe I should just visit the
site and find out rather than posting saying that I don't
know what they sound like.

I'm going to guess at: delicate minimalist soundscapes with
ambient drone. I bet I'm wrong.

I am wrong, they sound like Butterfly Child with more
samples. Which is ok in my books.

and I just also bought that plate-EP by Zammuto.

Pitchfork won't like this. :(

I was thinking of doing a daily blog that described normal,
everyday occurences in the style of Pitchfork, for example
something like "Ceasless burbling pops fizzed about my
cranium whilst deep in the background an ill-tuned radio
splices static with an authoratitive voice recounting papal
death" documenting my early morning bath. But then I thought
i lacked the ability to pull it off and would just look
foolish And even if I could, what would I be proving? You
know.

blog).

Ahh, i saw it a while ago but I forgot some of the gems like
the ad for "Mundane Deliverance" on Sodeep Records.... I do
wonder about these countless bands that all look and sound
the same, who are these people?

Well some of them. Americans can do very odd things with
candy bars. I'm going to try the pad thai soon.
