I forgot a few, and I don't know how I could've forgotten
them, 'cause they're as amazing and more amazing than a few
of the ones I've mentioned.

A tribe called quest, Pharoahe Monch, De La Soul, Talib
Kweli, Jaga Jazzist, Takagi Masakatsu, Yuichiro Fujimoto,
Tied And Tickled Trio, Guru, Cee-Lo, Stonxyblot, Keiichi
Suzuki, Souls of Mischief, Mos Def, Skatebård,
Madvillain... it's getting harder to remember names, but I
know there is more I like.

i have a wide range of tastes of music varying from aphex
twin to venetian snares to orbital to autechre, and other
electronic artist. my hobbies include not agreeing with
anyone but making sounds as though i always agree, listening
to wide range of musics, gsoh, looking for female aged 18-35
for fun and maybe more. you must be fake blond with big
gasonkas and speak only when spoken too. cooking and
cleaning skills an advantage.

i prefer pink moon because it sounds better to my ears,
nothing to it really :) it sounds real intimate with only
him singing and playing guitar in his special way..it's just
one of the most beautiful albums ever imo.
i love all 3, but perhaps the other two sound a bit too
folkish for me, although there are some fantastic songs on
those as well!

ok i know what you mean i read that on pink moon he has hes
lowest point of his life so his voice got so low they needed
to strengthen the voice with studio technique to be able to
make this album

well, apperantly he brought the recording (he made at home
by himself) and left it at the doorman at the record label,
so i imagine they had to put quite a bit of work into it so
it sounds like it does.. too bad it's this short though..

taffmonster, excellent :)

"pink moon" is my favourite too. so sad and very lively at
the same time.

have you ever seen the documentary made about Nick Drake? I
have no idea if it ever was released outside of the
Netherlands - a Dutch filmer made the documentary a few
years back, speaking to his sister, his mother and the
studio technicians.

here you go.

recordsales of his albums rocketed the days after they
showed it on tv here.

if u listen to small hours with headphones u can hear the
water and seaguls, they recorded it on a tiny island in the
middle of the lake set the pa up so it played out accross
the lake and recorded the sound that reverberated back.
pretty amazing imo. the album was called one world not
another world hehe and he has loads of quiet acoustic stuff!

actually, that documentary made me buy my first Nick Drake,
which was "pink moon", which I chose because I loved the
song "know" which was one of many used in the film.

they showed it on tv again a few months ago and I watched it
again, this time with my mom.

we were both bummed out by the end of it (it's just such a
sad story).

I bought "pink moon" for her the next day. :)
