A couple of the security staff where i work are ex-doormen, and i've honestly never known people more inclined towards random violence. Real, horrible cunts. That kind of job just tends to attract people who like fighting, i think. And fucking YES about crap town clubs, they've got a real nerve flogging shots for a quid each and then acting shocked that anyone has the audacity to get pissed. I'm in two minds really... i've tried hard to cut down a lot on my drinking although the lure of cheapy spirits still drags me out on occasion, but i'm fucking sick of seeing people get bottled as soon as the special offers come out.
